Sunday Notes…
Good Sunday morning to those that are up early on the weeked. Anyways, there’s an issue that’s going to interfere with updates this week — I am without laptop until my dad gets back from New Orleans. He’s a student at a seminary there and going there to take classes this week so he needs it (is technically is his in the first place…). Anyways, updates when I can do them is the best I can do, probably during the day while everybody’s gone. Because of the lack of cars (sister just got a job at Victoria’s Secret of all places, and my mom’s a schoolteacher, so there go the two cars we have. Mom’s also going on a trip end of this week when school gets out so I have to stay home to watch my crazy little brother) I’m going to be taking the week off work as well. A good chance to finish up Mother 3 and Baten Kaitos II and also to read some of the stuff I got the other day. Read through the first volume of Yoshinaga-san’chi no Gargoyle over the past couple of days. Anyways, no requests to blog any of the things I got?
Catching up with some news over the past week or so…
ufotable’s Manabi Straight Anime (via MOON PHASE)
I had always wondered about this Manabi Straight thing that was on ufotable’s site, even moreso because it was really, really cute (very predictable, aren’t I?). In the current issue of Dengeki Daioh (the magazine the comics have been running in) there’s an announcement that it’s going to be made into an anime. Yui Horie will be the voice of the main character Manabi. Some more information at ufotable’s Manbabi Straight site, which was redesigned along with the anime announcement. Actually had some cuter illustrations in the previous site, though it was all flash (I rather dislike using flash like that…). Anyways, looking forward to it
Innocent Venus Site
Hmm… yet another one of those post-apocolyptic shows. To summarize… A “Hyper Hurricane” would be the reason 5 billion people die and North America and Europe are frozen in ice, so on. Of course, Japan is just fine and establishes these special economic districts to revitalize the world’s economy, but of course (again), outside of those more and more slums appear as those in power, the “Logos”, push the poorer people, “Revinas”, out. Fast forward to 2035, the main character and his friend escape from “Phantom”, a special force in charge of repressing rebellion within the ranks of Logos and surveillance of the Revinas. They meet a mysterious girl (gotta have the mysterious girl) who seems to be hiding some things, and the story goes from there. Anyways, I do have an interest in sci-fi stuff like this (believe it or not) so I’ll check it out when it starts this summer on WOWOW.

Hyper Hurricane that freezes contintents? They’re really reaching now.
How was the Yoshinaga novel? I like the anime quite a bit, so I’m curious to know how accurate an adaptation it is.
