Kono Minikuku mo Utsukushii Sekai 12 (END)

GAINAX didn't destroy the world! It's a normal ending! It's a miracle! A very satisfying conclusion, I have to say :) Though maybe with a touch of sadness here and there.

With GAINAX's track record of generally weird endings and spending their animation budget before they're done I wasn't quite sure how Konomini would turn out. I'm happy to say that they did a pretty good job with it :)

I was a bit impatient waiting for the overall bigger story to come to light after being teased by that bit about extinction and such at the beginning of the first episode (as a console RPG player I'm used to stories about the world going to ruin, lol). But the episodes taken for character development were enjoyable to watch, though they didn't move the story along. As for the characters themselves... a pretty interesting bunch there. Hikari had a bit of the Chii syndrome in the first few episodes, but that was taken care of later. If I had to choose... I'd say I like Akari a bit more ;) Though I suppose a lot of y'all would prefer Jennifer-san, ne?

Other things... The fanservice was not too much in most cases. I would've expected more given that Konomini came from the Mahoromatic guys... Animation.. good for the most part. Very vibrant colors.. And music.. pretty good also. Opening didn't quite fit the mood of the show early on, and vice versa for the Ending, but both are good songs.

That's all I have to say for Kono Minikuku mo Utsukushii Sekai. Not the best show I've seen but I can recommend it. GAINAX, I have faith in y'all now. Don't do something weird for your next show, okay? ;)
