Anime Expo Begins
AnimeonDVD has all the news from this weekend's Anime Expo. Of note so far:
- Tokyopop has picked up CLAMP no Kiseki, CLAMP's 15th anniversary collection covering all their works. First installment, Cardcaptor Sakura, is coming in the Spring (though I'll probably get the Japanese one, if it's not sold out or something...)
- Media Blasters has picked up Midori no Hibi and Otogizoushi.
- Geneon has Popotan (coming in December)
- Bang Zoom! is recording Scrapped Princess and also Planetes
More updates as they come.
7/3 2:39PM - FUNimation has announced they have Bakuretsu Tenshi
11:46PM - ADV has both KURAU Phantom Memory and elfin lied... so what should I do as far as blogging for KURAU and should I even start doing elfin lied when it starts later this month?
7/4 5:17PM - Geneon will be releasing Popotan as 3 DVDs at a more affordable $25 each. That'll be worth picking up then, I guess :) Bandai is the one that has Scrapped Princess, btw.

I saw that CLAMP no Kiseki announcement too. I dunno... Tokyopop's record makes me wary. Plus, the Japanese versions are usually of much higher quality than any American versions that have come out. I'd rather shell out my money for the original versions.
Dang, those licenses are coming more fast and furious these days. I'm sort of surprised about Otogizoushi since it's a few days before the show starts in Japan. Also, although I'm looking forward to it (or WAS looking forward to it, depending on how many groups sub it), I didn't think it was getting that much press for it to be picked up.
On a different note, I'm glad that somebody picked up on the greatness that are SutePuri and Planetes.
Could you go on about KURAU anyway? :) I'm still learning Japanese, and so I understand about 15-45% of the spoken stuff. :) Someone going over the story is always cool!
Yeah, Kurau looks like it'll be pretty interesting, so plz do keep bloggin' it!
Okay, I'll at least do a few more episodes of KURAU for y'all ;)
