Wind ~a breath of heart~ OVA 1

This is the first of a 3 episode OVA for Wind ~a breath of heart~.

Makoto and Hinata are moving back to Hazune town where they lived long ago. Their mother sent them off, saying not to look for her.. They meet a couple of Makoto's old friends, Tsutomu (who speaks in the Kansai dialect) and Shikouin, and they go to their new home.

Night comes.. a trolley car is going down the tracks without a conductor. Makoto notices and goes to look. A strange girl is sitting there, but she disappears. We later see the same girl, using some kinda strange power to control wind...

Makoto and Hinata go to school and meet some of Shikouin's friends. Two sisters that work at a cafe so Tsutomu suggests they go there afterwards to have a party. After school, Makoto's with Tsutomu when he hears a harmonica playing. Flashback to Makoto as a child.. he's under a tree talking with a girl, Minamo. He's about to move, it seems, and she wants to send him letters and such. But he won't write back (how mean!). When they meet again he'll say something. So Minamo wants Makoto to promise to marry her when she grows up. Makoto has his conditions, but agrees... back to the present Makoto runs up to the school's roof.. and it is Minamo after all. They're finally reunited.. And that's it for this time. Have to wait until the next volume is released (in the fall) to continue.

I can say I definitely like this better than the TV series for now. The animation's better (none of that kinda odd CG stuff) and the story really drew me in. Too bad we'll have to wait a few months for the next episode. I'll be back then with more :)
