Monday Notes

Updated 3:20AM: I forgot to mention something... 2nd volume of Full Moon wo Sagashite finally got in so I've been reading some of that. Ten, I'll write up some more about it after I finish reading, okay? :) And, the 1st Stellvia DVD came in so I took a quick look at it... sub translation's kinda weird a few times: "In 2167, the Earth suffered incredible damage from the supernova of the star" (what star?), and sometimes ungrammatical: "Please let an infinite future to be continued"... And "Ova-aris" doesn't look right.... I'm guessing they didn't have a native English speaker translate :P Sorry for the rant, it's just one of those things that annoys me ;)Other that that it's a nice DVD, really. All y'all that liked Stellvia should get it :)

Updated 11:51PM: Okay, it's working again. Though with much more free space than it had before :P Anyways, I'll get back to doing the usual tomorrow, okay? :)

Updated 7:49PM: Or I could just use Samba on the laptop that's running Knoppix now. Duh... I'm not much of a Linux person ;).. copying stuff at 2.5MB/s. Gonna take a bit here..

Well... we've got a bit of a problem here. The windows registry on this computer here was corrupted somehow when I shut it down this morning... and I don't have a Windows XP setup CD so I can't install the recovery console (HP in their infinite wisdom didn't have it installed) and this linux-on-a-cd I'm running now (Knoppix) can't write to NTFS. All I have to do is copy the backed up registry files to the right place but I can't... so I guess I'll copy all my stuff over the network (guess I'll set up an ftp server on the other comp) and use the recovery CDs.. no reason I should have to format the hard drive... anyways.. I'll be back in a bit, hopefully :)
