Tsukuyomi ~Moon Phase~ 1

Opening: "neko mimi mode" by dimitri from Paris: Just as the title says; much nekomimi. No lyrics or anything, just Hazuki saying "neko mimi mode" and some other things from time to time. Kinda weird ;)
Ending: 「悲しい予感」 "kanashii yokan" ("A Sad Premontion")/"Pressentiment triste" by marianne Amplifier featuring yuka. This time there are lyrics, though it's hard to hear because of the way they're sung. But I kinda like it :) Animation is just a zoom out from a cute picture of Hazuki.

A guy stands outside a castle on a dark night taking pictures. He sees a girl sitting on top of the castle and takes some pictures... but the next day, they don't come out well. Kouhei only ever ends up getting pictures of spirits, not normal things.. but that's good for the magazine he's taking pictures for. He's with Hiromi and the very cool Seiji in Germany researching old castles for a story.

Back at the castle the girl that Kouhei saw earlier takes a bath all alone.. tonight, for sure, she's going to leave.. The only other person there is a scary masked guy who walks in and calls the girl by the name Luna. But she says that she's not Luna.. he mentions that there will be a nice moon out tonight..

Kouhei sneaks into the castle by himself while Hiromi and Seiji wait outside. It's pretty old and doesn't seem like anyone is living there now... Seiji explains the reason why Kouhei went into the castle by himself. There's a barrier surrounding it, and Kouhei isn't affected by it and can't sense the spirits within the castle either. Inside the castle Kouhei finds the girl that he saw earlier....

She's Hazuki, and she's overjoyed that Kouhei.... that "onii-sama" came to see her. Kouhei is a bit surprised at being called "onii-sama" ;) She used to live in Japan so she can speak Japanese. Kouhei says that he wanted her to model for him after seeing her the other night... but first, Hazuki wants to give onii-sama a "present"... but at the last second Kouhei pushes her away. That's rather mean, Kouhei ;) After Hazuki does the "do you hate me now?" act, Kouhei agrees to accept her "present". Suddenly, vines shoot out and grab both of them..

The masked guy shows up.. he was ordered by his master to protect her, he says. Outside the castle, Seiji senses that something's going on and uses some kind of very much Naruto-esque hand seals to cast a spell that shoots a ball of light towards the masked man. He deflects it and it almost hits Kouhei (rather unlucky guy, ain't he?).. The vines release Hazuki and she goes back over to Kouhei (he's still tied up in the vines) to continue things, so she goes to kiss him and... bites his neck. Yup, she's a vampire.. with cute nekomimi! :)

The kinda weird opening (nekomimi everywhere!) kinda threw me off a bit, but once the show got started it was okay. It seems like it's not going to be all genki like the OP (as Momotato pointed out). I do like Hazuki's voice. Very cute :) So I'll keep watching for now. Kawaii, I hope you like cute vampire girls with nekomimi ;)
