So Miyu is one of the bad guys... and is she a robot or what?
So being a HiME means placing the life of the person you love most on the line. That raises the stakes a just bit.. So Akane lost her boyfriend (sucks being a minor character, doesn't it?) after Miyu totally destroyed her child (even the very much hated Nagi was shocked when that happened). With Mai getting more and more friendly with Yuuichi it would seem that he would be the one to go should the same happen to Mai (but like that'll happen..).
This one easily kept my attention. I was surprised to see things take such a serious turn from the lightheartedness of past episodes. Hopefully there'll be a lot more like it coming :) Still not even halfway through and I had to use the extended entry already. Geez ;)

Nononoooo... the life which is on the line is clearly Takumi's. Hmmm... tempting thought, actually. On the other hand, I fail to see Kagutsuchi as a pushover for Miyu.
The spoiler suggestion was just in case. I mean, I don't know about you, but when I first saw Mai summon Kagutsuchi in front of Kanzaki-senpai (!), who was unexpectedly clueless (!), then had Miyu turn out to be a cyborg (!!, never expected this one, was SURE she was a HiME), going on to kill Akane's child (!!!), causing Kazu-kun to perish (!!!!) ... I was _really_ blown away by that.
I mean, I thought I had the series figured out, and I was comfortable with it. And suddenly something like this happens. It only adds to the quality of the anime though. It's not all just play and jokes, it's a slap in the face of the viewer to remind him "hey, this is serious". Whee.
Oh, and I already love the Mai-Yuuichi-Kanzaki triangle coming up. 99,999% that Yuuichi will win, but it will be fun to watch ^_^

But, yeah, Takumi is clearly more at danger than Yuiichi. I doubt she will has that much feeling for him... yet. And protested love takes longer to prosper.
