TGIF!
Y'all should check out this movie that Shigesato Itoi (Earthbound/Mother creator) made of the 8 player mode of Band Brothers for the Nintendo DS. They're trying to perform Melissa (1st FMA op. The 2nd op, READY STEADY GO!, is also one of the songs included in the game) so it does have something to do with anime ;) I REALLY want that game now, but it won't be released here 'til next year. I can't really import since it would be in Japanese and would be a problem if I wanted to play with people outside of my Japanese class. Anyways, you can actually put your own songs into it. What would I do first?... Catch You Catch Me from CCS, maybe? Lotsa stuff I'd like to try :)
Speaking of Futakoi, I've been reading this Japanese blog's entries on it (and also Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch Pure). Seems Souju has risen to be δΈηͺθγ ichiban moe after episode 9. She's followed by Kaoruko, then Sumireko, then Kira & Yura, then Sara. I wouldn't put Sara that low myself, but other than that I'd be in agreement ;) Hmmm... Perhaps I should have some fun and blog something in that style sometime.
It's Friday, thank goodness. Heading into the last week of school then finals the week after that. Ugh.. Anyways.. Perhaps I should mention that as of a few days ago I'm a Japanese major instead of music. Figure things will go a lot better that way, hopefully :)
Going on to other stuff.. Ender, don't go off trying to skew people's polls, dangit! ;) I still haven't really come up with a poll for next time. Though I guess I could ask something about Tsubasa becoming an anime.. anyways, responding to random thought #2 there, if anybody else is thinking about watching Futakoi... Well, the designs are kinda generic as Ender said, and the twins themselves are pretty much copies of each other in appearance as well as personality... but after episode 5 things pick up a bit (as I've written). And Sara and Souju these past couple of episodes were great :) Anyways, y'all know my bias towards watching anything cute, so take what I write with a grain of salt, as they say ;) And I'll get to that last question sometime later.
See... Today is Mai-HiME 10 (already spoiled for me by Fencedude, lol) and Rozen Maiden 9.. watched Rozen Maiden at... 3am, but I was too lazy to blog it after watching ;) Also, I've got the first 12 episodes of Kiddy Grade. I figured I'd watch it... and after the first 6 episodes I'm not really getting into it. I can see where Uta~Kata got all its fanservice from, though.. Anyways, that's all for now.
Hey, at least when you watch My~HiME 10 you'll understand a heck of a lot more than I did.
And by they way, Kiddy Grade is on of my all time favorite shows, I hope you stick with it, at least through the 12 episodes you have.
Man, I had figured you had already finished Kiddy Grade and was attracted to Uta Kata due to the char designer. Looks like it was the other way around.
Speaking of KG, the first 10 or so episodes suck REALLY BAD. But then it throws curveball at ya (namely, a real plot, among other things), and the series suddenly gets 10x better. Too bad you're missing most of the good episodes though!
Kiddy Grade is worth the wait once the story really starts going. It's one of those series that you understand everything a lot more once you watch it 2nd time. I'm catching things watching it on DVD now that I didn't see when I watched it subbed following it's Japanese TV run. I just wish Funimation wasn't so gimpy when it came to the bonus cards included with the DVDs.
Hey dude, just to let you know, I imported "Jam with the Band" and it's AMAZING. It's completely worth the import, and it's very easy to understand. I don't speak a lick of Japanese and I've already navagated through the entire game. Also, it has download wireless play, so you can still play the full multiplayer game with ANYONE who has a DS (Japanese or American) and they don't need the game.
Definitely import this game.
