Shiratori goes to school, but because of the ruckus he's had to go through he never got around to doing his homework... so he faces the wrath of Shirogane-sensei and will never, ever do that again ;) On the way back from school with his friends, Shiratori runs into Kozue and Tamami who are coming back from their school. Shiratori's friends seem to like Kozue, but they don't take notice of Tamami... Tamami takes care of that, though. They won't ignore her again...

Tamami, Kozue, and Shiratori head off to some shops where everyone seems to be familiar with Kozue. And with Shiratori there they all think she's found an いい人. Kozue takes that literally and says yes, Shiratori's a good person, completely misunderstanding things. She wonders why everyone gave her so much stuff ;) They drop by a bookstore and Kozue buys books on "Suvival Cooking" and also one on making nabes. After that, Kozue helps out whoever she sees, making a baby stop crying, helping an old woman across the street, so on.

They stop by a park to rest a bit, and there a girl, Sakura, is looking around for something she lost -- a stamp card from those shops they were just at. Kozue offers to help, of course, and Tamami and Shiratori join in on the search. 4-koma time comes next showing Kozoue not being of much help in the search. Shiratori finds something, though ;) The sun is about to set and they still haven't found it... Sakura offers everyone snacks and as she looks in her basket... there it is. It was there all along...

They head back and Shiratori comes into his room to find Johnny and Momono in there, and Tamami drops by to show off some more pictures she took, just in case ;) And Sakura? Well, she didn't get exactly what she wanted....

Kozue was Kozue for the whole episode, no changes or anything, and it was still entertaining. Poor Shiratori... he can't get a break. Wonder exactly what Shirogane-sensei did to him? Tamami was also great this time, showing off how evil she can be. "Evil Tomoyo" is actually a pretty good comparison, but that's something to get to when we get to an episode focusing on her, which should be the one after the next.

Noticed a few changes from the manga this time... In the manga, it isn't the first time that Shiratori's met Shirogane-sensei... Tamami doesn't stay with Kozue and Shiratori as they go around shopping, she terrorizes his classmates... And Sakura lost a raffle ticket, not a stamp card. And she was searching for it because she had a feeling she'd get something good... but she actually got tissues ;) Next time is an Asami and Sayako episode. Wonder if they're going to change what Sayako does....

Hehe, the more I see of her, the more I like her, but I think Tamami's a bit beyond a "little" evil. ^_^;;; She's pretty scary sometimes, I think Shiratori's classmates will be having nightmares about her. ^_- It would be interesting to see her go up against Shirogane-sensei. :) The comparison to Tomoyo's very very apt though, she seems to have her camera ready at the most opportune times. ^_- From how quickly Shiratori turned so red you have to think that Koazu was still no pantsu though. :)

The more of I see of the show though the more I can see the influence of Maison Ikkoku, although it's much more toned down. The other residents in Maison Ikkoku made the main character's life living hell. They tried HARD to make him fail passing his admittance exams, and anything else they could think of to make him more miserable. So far the other residents have only interfered with Shiratori finishing his homework, but they seem to support him with Kozue somewhat. They're also much more likeable, I hated all the other residents in Maison Ikkoku (and read/watched very little of it, it's horrid to me). I see some artistic influence from Akazukin Chacha as well, the earliest anime I saw eyes like Sakura's when she was crying was that. (And the principle's eyes in Akazukin Chacha were like that all the time, leading to people joking that she must be injecting some funky drugs in them.)

Was there any apparent reason that Sayako passed out after eating the snacks or was it just random silliness? Oh, apparently Asami only has one outfit, that being her school uniform. ^_^

Sayoko seems to be choked by the snack, she ate it quickly.

Shiratori's expression after Shirogane-sensei's treatment looks like horrified and... inviting ideas for doujinshi ^^;

Hehe, yeah, my first thought was that she's actually a guy and had revealed that to Shiratori, it would explain that look. ^_^;;;

It's funny that you talk about Tamami and Shirogane-sensei going up against each other because in the manga they do (and they have a bonding moment to boot - oh Tamami you're so gay, desu :) Infact if I remember correctly, Shiratori's friends seem to always refer to Tamami as mini Shirogane-sensei. Very appropriate if you ask me :P
