Iriya no Sora, UFO no Natsu 2

夕子ちゃんすごく可愛いよ、夕子ちゃん！！（≧∇≦）

Just had to say that ;) Original character design is by Komatsu Eiji, whom y'all might recognize from Aoi Umi no Tristia, so go figure I'd like the designs for Iriya. Iriya's pretty kawaii as well ;) Anyways... Yuuko (Asaba's sister) and Suizenji (the president of the newspaper club) made quite a good combo this time, doing surveillance on Asaba and Iriya while they were on their "date". Of course, things get a bit out of hand after Iriya realizes Asaba's been bugged. She jacks a motorcycle and off we go on a chase, with Suizenji and Yuuko ending up in a soggy situation. Their fight afterwards was quite entertaining. Go Yuuko-chan, stick up for your onii-chan! Hopefully we'll see more of those two together :)

But there is some serious stuff to be had this time despite all the crazy hijinks, as Iriya tells Asaba about herself. (added) Satoshi, here's what I could understand from it ;)

She used to be a Manta pilot at a base in Nevada with four others. One of the others, the ace of the group, crashed in the desert and died. She doesn't remember who came up with the idea, but the remaining four decided to go to the crash site, and from data from the flight recorder and such they were able to figure out that location and quietly slipped out from the base. But along the way they ran out of food and water and thought they'd die. However, someone drove up and drove them for a bit. In the middle of the desert where nothing is, there's a park, a place with swings and see-saws and other things. Of course, there wasn't a single kid there... no one besides them. They thought they were all kids no one wanted. They couldn't talk to anyone or meet anyone, and if they died, people would pretend that they didn't exist in the first place... Helicopters came and took them back to the base...

That's the first time she's told anybody that much about herself. And in the end Iriya does join the newspaper club, her reason? Because Asaba is there ;)

I'm enjoying things so far and looking forward to next time. In a few weeks, I guess ;)
