Futakoi Alternative 4
The boss of the Sakurazukis, Zenji, does a bit of dealing (with some big cash) then the scene shifts to the street, where Land Shark Joe from Kansai and his two accomplices.. including one polar bear... go to try to buy out a store with a pile of cash, but the owner refuses to sell. Then two girls in goth loli costumes show up, calling themselves the masked goth lolis. It should be pretty obvious to those that watched Futakoi that the two goth lolis are Sakurazuki Kira & Yura ;) They take on the long-limbed fellow and tie him in knots, deal with the polar bear by giving him a block of ice, and give Joe the good ol' goth loli kick. All while Rentarou, who was riding his bike by, stopped and watched.
Joe and his buddies go out again, this time to get an old lady to sell her land.. but the masked goth lolis show up again and stop him. Well, maybe the third time's the charm? Joe tries to run a truck into a building, but yet again, the goth lolis stop him.
Joe meets with the boss, Zenji, to discuss how things are going. Or not going, since those goth lolis always get in their way, while Kira & Yura spy from above. Kankurou gets all the other gangster rounded up and shows them a very bad sketch of the goth lolis, and tells them to get 'em. A shadow is at the door... it's Rentarou. A private detective is just what's needed when you're looking for someone, isn't it? Zenji agrees to his terms (15,000 yen/day plus expenses). As Rentarou walks out he sees Kira and Yura standing in another room...
Kira and Yura spy on Zenji and Kankurou as they go over finances. It'd be quite a problem if that account register of all the shady transactions got out in the open, so Zenji places it in a safe.
Joe and his buddies are at it again, but the masked goth lolis once again come. However, this time Joe's got some backup from all of Zenji's gangsters. Kira and Yura run away into the womens' bathroom in a building, change into their normal clothes, and walk out without anyone thinking they might be the masked goth lolis. But Rentarou knows who they are...
Kira and Yura end up at Rentarou's office, where they seem to having a good with Sara and Souju. So how did Rentarou figure out Kira and Yura were the masked goth lolis? Simple... no one else could have been ;) But why would they try to get in the way of their father's work? They don't like the way he's become, getting involved with all the shady stuff. They want him to go back to being just the good ol' boss that helped people out. Even though Rentarou took the job of looking for the goth lolis for Zenji, he won't report that he knows who they are to him. In fact, he'll help them out. But is there a way could they resolve this situation?... Steal that account register and show it to the authorities, so he'll get out of that kind of business. But how are they going to get it out of the safe? Easy... C-4 plastic explosives and some guns :)
So the plan goes into motion, with Kira and Yura putting something in Zenji's drink to knock him out, then starting to work on the safe. Sara and Soujuu lure Zenji's gangsters away by dressing up as the masked goth lolis. Kankurou comes in to see Kira and Yura setting explosive around the safe, alerting the gangsters still there as Kira and Yura run away with the account register. Meanwhile, Sara and Souju seem to be stuck, but Kankurou calls and tells the gangsters that were after them that they found the real masked goth lolis, so they leave. Kira and Yura are pursued by the gangsters, who run by Rentarou who just stands there. They throw the book into the water, and Kankurou retrieves it... but it's not the real one. Rentarou has it :)
So... what are they going to do with it now that they've got it? They could get it out in the media, but that'd make things even worse for Kira and Yura's father, so they say they can't do it... Kira and Yura reveal themselves as the masked goth lolis to their father and apologize, saying they just wanted him to go back to how he used to be, and they fall into his arms...
Rentarou seems to be having a fun dream as his phone (which is in the refrigerator) rings. He doesn't answer... We get a glimpse of the reflection of the person calling, and also someone else there.. Rentarou, Sara, and Soujuu sleep soundly...
ufotable sure does come up with some interesting characters. Got some good laughs out of Land Shark Joe and his posse... but why is there a polar bear?
So, Kira and Yura have gotten their episode. I don't think I ever imagined them as kick-butt masked goth lolis, lol. We'll see if the stunt they pulled is enough to get their father to go back to being the good ol' boss... somehow I doubt it ;)
Next time, it looks like the meganekko twins, Chigusa Ui and Koi, will be introduced. Not really a pair I particularly like.. but perhaps they'll get better treatment here than they did in Futakoi. btw, since Kira and Yura were introduced this episode I'll be writing up an entry on them in the next few days.

I'm going to take a wild guess that the dark-haired guy in the last screenshot is Nozomu.

I hope not! Shouldn't be since this *is* an alternate universe and losers like Nozomu shouldn't be around.

In this alternate Futakoi universe I think Nozomu would have been shot/trampled/run over/drowned/beaten/etc. That would explain his being a ghost though. ^_-
I love the outfits, it's like Kira & Yura are ripping off Sailor V only with Victorian Goth outfits. :) I think the whole Victorian Goth look works well for them. :)

Maybe in this alternate universe Nozomu will make an apperance as a bad ass villain or something...if he shows up at all that is. :p
