GIRLS Bravo second season 13 (END)

A very nice wrap-up this time with plenty of action and the usual GIRLS Bravo hijinks. The rest later ;)

Yukinari and the gang leave for Seiren, with Lilica, Kosame, and Hayate staying behind with Koyomi, who keeps the gate to Seiren open (Go Koyomi!). The gang ends up landing in a large open-air bath in Seiren, full of bathing girls (including those two lolis who took a liking to Yukinari way back when he was on Seiren last) much to Fukuyama's delight. So with Fukuyama taking care of business there, Yukinari, Kirie, Tomoka (no da!), and Lisa head towards the headquarters of the Space/Time Administration.

Along the way, Lisa and Tomoka get separated from the group leaving just Kirie and Yukinari. Once they arrive, Hijiri is there to greet them, along with all the workers there she has under her mind control (she's also got Koyomi's father back on Earth under her control as he tries to stop Koyomi from keeping the gate to Seiren open). But, thankfully, Maharu is there to help clean up things, so she and Kirie take care of things as Yukinari heads to rescue Miharu.

Yukinari arrives in the chamber where Miharu's being held by Yukina, that cloaked girl. She's the strongest of those who have that mark on them.. they cover her entire body. When she touches Yukinari she breaks out much like he used to do.. She gets like that when a guy touches her.. so she's going to make sure no more guys come to Seiren and make her suffer. If Koyomi stays on Earth and she can seal Miharu's power then that won't happen any more... And why is Hijiri cooperating with Yukina? Well, Hijiri has an interest in Miharu... yes, that kind of interest ;) And it seems she's going to finish off Kirie when... Fukuyama blasts in, along with the girls who were at that bath, and Tomoka (no da!), and Lisa, as well. Kirie finishes off Hijiri with her patented slam, with the usual 地獄へ送ってやる! added :)

Meanwhile, Yukinari speaks to Yukina, trying to get her to stop, telling her that they're really the same, and she can be loved by someone and she can find someone special, just like Miharu is to him. The bubble holding Miharu bursts and it seems things have been resolved here...

..and after the ending credits. Miharu comes to wake Yukinari up and she finds Yukinari, along with Yukina in bed with him... Yukina doesn't have anything on. Seems she can touch Yukinari without breaking out, but... Yukinari seems to have gotten his little problem back, so he breaks out ;) Kirie's problems have increased, since now not only are Kosame and Fukuyama after her.. Hijiri wants some as well.. Which works out well for Koyomi, so long as Fukuyama stays away from her ;) Her father's there with her, along with that snake she was friends with back during the Fukuyama mah-johngg game. So it's back to the usual crazyness for Yukinari and the others... and the last thing we hear from Yukinari is...

本当に女の子って素晴らしい!!
Girls really are wonderful!

Yukinari, you're absolutely right, my man ;)

What a last episode to wrap up GIRLS Bravo second season with. You could tell the staff really put all they had into it this time, with the copious amounts of nicely-done action among other things... Of course, that's along with the R-15ish rated stuff, which thankfully didn't predominate throughout the series as a whole as I had first worried it would after that first episode with the hentai octopus (^^;)The serious elements brought up in the last few episodes did feel a bit out of place here -- it is GIRLS Bravo after all -- but I didn't mind it at all, much preferring it to the nothing but ecchi-ish stuff.

As a whole I enjoyed the second season of the show -- thank goodness that annoying steam was gotten rid of :P -- and enjoyed it even moreso after Koyomi-chan finally got her chance to shine :) Koyomi-chan's my favorite, but I enjoyed the other characters a lot as well. Fukuyama was surprisingly un-Fukuyama-ish at times this season so that was quite a surprise. For being Ebi, Ebi was quite funny as well (Ebi doing mah-johngg strategy was great), though you have to feel for the thing after he/she/it was used as a weapon by Tomoka-chan (no da!). The only complaint I have with Ebi is that kawaii girl Ebi didn't come back again ;)

It was recently announced that Tokyopop will be releasing the manga here, so I'd highly recommend that those who enjoyed the anime to give it look. It's actually not quite as bad, if you can believe that. I still have yet to finish it... The DVDs of the first season will also be released soon by Geneon, so.. I'll pick some up when I can afford it ;)

And that's pretty much all I've got to say about GIRLS Bravo second season. A thanks for reading and commenting to all those that kept up with the show along with me ;)

Just when we thought only Yukinari had to worry about harem problems, now Kirie too... ;)

Hmmm...This ending didn't actually give any hints. I would have been happier if Yuki had to choose 1, then we see him back home, at an older age, then a mini miharu comes and hugs him. Then 4 more chibis who look like Koyomi, Kirie, Lisa come and crush him as well

Well, I don't care about what the other commenters say, but I still am happy that it ended well and I'm glad that I became part of it even if I just watched the second season.

BTW, are Kosame and Hijiri lesbian? Or are they just admiring Kirie's blessed body?

tremain, sorry if I say rude but did you actually expect GIRLS Bravo to have an definite ending?!

While it's obvious Yukinari will 99.9% end up with Miharu, there's just no way they would given an actual "ending." 1/2 of GB's fun was watching the crazy situation the group got into!

BTW, Matthew, will you recap the last two episodes of Gakuen Alice (25 & 26) for me? I may never watch these last two episodes (as well as Kyo Kara MaOh) because by May Day the cable company my family's subscribing will pull out both BS1 and BS2. And here in the Philippines, cable TV subscriptions come in channel packages and one is powerless to add or pull out channels at will unless demanded. Until now I don't have Animax despite my want for it.

Hmm, maybe an indefinate ending gives chance for OVA or 3rd season? like how Yugioh ran a season that wasnt in the manga

Oh yeah, they're very much lesbian (what is with all the yuri in the shows I'm watching now?), Nanami (not really my thing, but others like it). Like moyism said, it's pretty obvious that Yukinari will stay with Miharu no matter how much Yukina or Lisa might try ;)

And yah, Nanami, of course I'll do those eps of Gakuen Alice :)

Yeah im really hoping some ovas will be released giving Girls Bravo (this includes both previous seasons) a total of 26 episodes all together, which seems to be the norm of most shows

moyism Author Profile Page said:

Zexion, I'm pretty sure Girls Bravo seasons 1+2 total 26 eps as is. Anyway, a lot of anime aired on TV goes by factors of 13 (episode wise) so...

Personally, I'm happy that GB 2nd season was only 13 episodes. With 26, they might have dragged out and made the season worse you know?

Zexion said:

Ummmmmmmmmmm....actually with just seasons one and two its 24 total (11 from Season 1, and 13 from Season 2). Add two ovas and you get 26 episodes all together. Plus i dont think they could really drag on a series such as girls bravo lmao. I say this just because its one of those stereotypical harem shows that has one thing in mind. Lots of beautiful girls...ONE LUCKY BASTARD!!! :D All the episodes are repetative in one form or another to each other.

so, there was no reason why Yukina's and Yukinari's names similarity
and nothing about koyomi and his father....?

cant wait for the manga, might explain more.
[they can introduce Yukina in the 10th Vol, hasnt anybody read it yet]
