Tsubasa Chronicle 3

Shaoran and Shougo's kudan fight is put off until another day due to the police showing up, and then the Kansai-ben speaking Sorata and his wife, Arashi, come to offer the gang a place to stay at their inn. The next day, they go out into the city searching for one of Sakura's feathers that Mokona went "mekyo~!" over, but can't find it. Kurogane sees someone that looks like Tomoyo and runs off from the group.. Mokona seems to be following him, all it wanted was to have something to eat, so it took Shaoran and Fye to an okonomiyaki place, where this world's Touya and Yukito work. Meanwhile, Kurogane runs into the gang of punks from the gang fight earlier who are looking for a fight. The leader brings out his kudan, but Kurogane's got one as well, one that transforms into a huge sword with which he makes quick work of things. Back at Sorata and Arashi's that night, Shaoran finally sleeps instead of staying up watching over Sakura. And while he sleeps Sakura awakens....
Glad to see Sorata and Arashi introduced this time, though minus the fun puppet show going through the history and culture of Hanshin. Sakura's awakening came as a surprise to me, since I was expecting that to happen a bit later on after Shaoran gets another of her feathers. Seems Sakura'll play a part in next episode's goings-on, disappearing for some reason or another. As Jeni mentioned, I hope that the scene where she first sees Shaoran after waking up is done, since it was very emotional. Changing things around a bit keeps things interesting for people who've read the manga like me, though, and while I could nitpick things and complain, I've enjoyed it well enough so far, so we'll see where we go next.
Since subs of Tsubasa Chronicle are being released rather quickly I think I'll keep the summaries to about that depth, more or less depending on what kinds of things happen, placing Tsubasa in the not-quite-so-well-defined Quickie category for now ;) Should also mention that I have not read Del Ray's release of Tsubasa, so my translations will probably differ from theirs in places.

Doesn't the inn of Sorata and Arashi look like the inn from Chobits? Or is it just a generic design in Japanese city inns?
This show has bored me for two episodes in a row. Was it really necessary to flashback to the first episode when we're watching the third or even to events at the beginning of this episode? The action has been average at best, comedy is pretty much non-existent, and on the whole the animation isn't impressing me. If I didn't like the premise of the story, I'd prolly be dropping this show right about now. Bet even still, my interest is beginning to wan.
