Tuesday Notes.. The Flood Begins...

| | Comments (4)

The NCAA Men's Basketball tournament ended last night with UNC the winner, and Maestro4k was tops in the MAB group of bracket-pickers. Good job ;)

..and so the flood of new anime has begun. I'm feeling just a bit overwhelmed here ;) I'll go ahead and apologize in advance for the roughness of the first entries on the new shows. For most, I have no prior knowledge or anything so I'm having to absorb a lot of things and learn new characters as I watch, and I know I've left some things out, or gotten them wrong. I'll match translations with subs once they're out :) After the first episodes, there are no guarantees that I'll continue to blog whatever I watch... there's absolutely no way I can keep up the pace I'm blogging at now for longer than this week, lol ;) Anyways... I can't say I've really gotten into anything new I've watched so far besides Futago Hime. We'll see what Ichigo 100% and Glass no Kamen are like later on tonight...

I'm not in the best of moods, as I'm having to act as tech support for the family again. I'm sick of having to fix everything! If people would follow my directions this kinda stuff wouldn't happen! Tomorrow I should be in a better mood as Futakoi Alternative starts. Souju/Sara! :)

BluWacky at Cinnamon Ass is doing a great job with nice short, concise, to the point summaries (better than my long rambling entries) of new stuff, so y'all go read what he has to say as well :)

Haha tech supporting family is a real pain in the ass. The computer they use is so virus/spyware/trojan/bot-infested that merely being on the same network slows me down so much I had to get a seperate connection to the house. Worse, there's really no way to "fix" such machines. Just had to fresh install from ground up.

That's what I'd like to do to the comp my dad has in his room. Old Win98 Athlon 550 comp.. thing gives me way too many problems, and it's cause he doesn't listen to me, and no one keeps my stupid little brother from getting on it and getting all those things you mentioned on it :P Such a pain...

Haha, I can see what you mean, Matthew. Being the only tech savvy member of the family, I had to go and fix everything thing my parents mess up with the family computer.

It's sad to be such the lone computer geek.

I hate doing family tech support. I don't think people realize that when you do it all day at work you really don't want to deal with it when you're off. :P I know it's not cheap, but you might want to consider Deep Freeze ( http://www.faronics.com/html/DFStd.asp ) to put on the systems of your worst offenders. You can set a "thaw" space that'll allow them to save stuff, but the core OS is restored to a pristine state every reboot. :) We use it at work, it's a godsend!

Thanks for the congrats on the tournament bracket Matthew, I still don't know how I managed to win. ^_^
