Negima 18
It's a new month so there's a new arrangement of "Happy Material" (Where do they come up with these song titles?). This time, the twins in stereo! ;) The color changes finally made their way into the OP sequence, along with a few other changes: title font color changed, some effects added, swimsuit colors changed (see Yosaba's entry for comparison pics). Also note that Habara Nobuyoshi is listed as "Chief Director" now.
Asuna tries hard to make a cake by herself for Takamichi's birthday while Negi still worries about what Nodoka said last time. Negi eventually ends up helping Asuna with her cake... and her first try, is.. well... not good (^^;) But her second try after an all-nighter does look and taste like an actual cake so it's off to deliver it to Takamichi... seeing Asuna do that for Takamichi makes Negi want to give Nodoka some kind of reply to her 告白, so they go find her and Negi tells her how he feels... he likes everybody in the class, and they're student and teacher, but why not start out as friends? ;) After that, they go to take the cake to Takamichi, but he's not there -- he's off on a business trip for a week. So Asuna's left to eat the cake by herself...
And what's this? I heard some discussion between the headmaster and Takamichi about a Kansai Magic Association and a school trip coming up to Kyoto ;) So it does look like we'll be going to Kyoto, and probably ending things there on hopefully a strong note. As for the technical side of things this time... it was normal and watchable, which is a good thing. Next time looks like a Sayo (the ghost girl) main story.
It was the twins? I thought they'd gotten the Chipmunks to sing the OP this time around. :P
The opening singers were good though. :) It's just their voices were quite high-pitched and fast.
They've gotten rid of the "day-glow" from Fuuka, Fumika, and Makie's hair. The only other thing they did was get rid of the stand-out-ish red of Sakurako's hair and lightened Yuuna's skin.
WHEW!! For a moment there, I thought they were gonna rape the character's skin and hair color like most of the class rapes Negi.
I, however, am not satisfied until Evangeline and Misora have a battle ala Hellsing's Alucard and Anderson. ^_^
Bleh. I was expecting a better color change. Madoka's hair was just darkened... but her manga hair is brown, not purple.
And Chisame.. they left the horrible green. The twins, Makie's and Sakurako's hair was fine and they change them... Instead of changing this, they should have changed Madoka and Chisame
I felt that the episode was not that bad at all! Well, my favourite episode was 15 because of the great quality animation, but what frustrates me is how the animation gets really good, then bad again =.='. Once I saw 17, I was devistated on how bad it was, but 18 was pretty good I'd have to say, and REALLY funny as well! I hope Ken Akamatsu-san keeps the animation quality this good or improve it some more. As well, ^^ I don't mind Makie Fuka and Fumika's hair, but you've ALL GOT TO ADMIT, it was really bad before right? XD Hahaha!
