Negima 20

The class is in Kyoto enjoying the sights, but someone from the Kansai Magic Association show up and takes Konoka away. Konoka, btw, has very strong magical powers. Setsuna, Negi, and Asuna give chase and eventually take her on, along with another swordsgirl. Asuna uses the power given to her by her pactio card and Setsuna, her sword, to take care of things... at least for now.

If the reason they decided to move scenes that were in Kyoto in the manga to the school was so that they could concentrate on the fighting aspect of Kyoto, then the people at Xebec could've at least put a little more effort into animating the battle scenes this time. We're really going quickly through things here and with very sudden explanations of things that don't exactly flow, but that was an issue that started with the 構成 of the Eva arc, in removing one of the reasons Negi wanted to go to Kyoto. But, anyways, given the change of directors midway through there's nothing that could've been done about things, I suppose. It's somewhat frustrating that the staff can't keep up a consistant quality, especially coming off the excellent direction and such of the previous episode.

It seems as if we'll already be getting to the big fight next time with the other students getting involved as well. Talk about moving quickly (^^;). I wonder what kind of stopping point they have in mind...
