Skipping the opening this time, we go straight to a Sara monologue, speaking of the days past with Rentarou and Souju that won't return, of the happiness they had together. What would they be like if they hadn't met Rentarou? If...
A boatload of dignitaries is at the Wadatsumi castle in Germany to attend Sara and Kimihiko's wedding and someone is watching.. whoever it is ;) In the castle a group of squid mask wearing men watches the procedings on a big screen. The real reason behind the wedding is revealed -- Kimihiko and Sara are the perfect couple for them, and when they put the Ikaros wedding ring on it'll take the DNA from them for use in making even better squids than before. An auction begins...
Kimihiko walks in the room where Sara, now in a wedding dress, sits by herself crying. He's doing as (he thinks) her father said.. and he'll love her and make her happy. And so the wedding ceremony begins...
One of the Ikaros people speaks with the Sakurazuki boss, Zenji, about the redevelopment project. The real purpose lies underneath -- they'll build a factory to produce squids under the new development. Zenji seems to not be going along with the plan.. Outside, the owners of the shops that will be razed sit down in protest in front of bulldozers, while Kinoshita tries to talk them into giving up. But Gen-san decides to stand up and confront the looming bulldozers...

But the bulldozers turn into robots and start attacking...
Back in Germany, Rentarou and Souju drop in to stop the wedding, telling Kimihiko what's really going on. But Kimihiko and Sara are taken away, and the priest turns into a squid, along with all the other guests there. It's time for the metal bat again.. Kimihiko runs through a throng of squids, protecting Sara, and back in Nikotama Dirry Harry and the rest try to stop the bulldozers... a robotic hand, Zenji's, flies in and blows up one of the robots -- turns out it's apparently a +4 ranged weapon in addition to being a handy lighter. So the Sakurazuki gang joins the fight.
The squids keep on coming to attack Rentarou and Souju, but help has come -- In the form of the Goth Loli duo, Kira and Yura, and Shimojima, now in a baseball uniform. They'll take care of things there, so Rentarou and Souju go ahead to find Sara.. The squid mask guy from earlier brings out the castle's self-destruct device and presses the button.. Souju and Rentarou run up the stairs, and while they run Souju shouts out what they and Sara will do once they get back. They finally arrive outside, and on the other side of a bridge is Sara and Kimihiko. Rentarou runs off to get Sara back as the castle blows apart -- and before he does he gives Souju a kiss -- it's a secret from Sara ;)
What an exciting episode, ne? ;) Throwing in the crazy movement and fighting of earlier episodes together with the more serious threads as well. Nice job, ufotable :) Two things I was thinking while watching this time:

Rentarou was super cool this time, beating up those really weak squids, and showing some determination to get the three of them back together again. And finally making a move on his own as well :) Glad Souju finally got some attention. Been waiting for it :) As for Kimihiko... he's not a bad guy at all, showing that this time by protecting Sara. Sara seemed to think the same. But Kimihiko knows that Sara belongs with Rentarou and Souju.
Well, next time is the last time (I think). Hopefully it'll be the good ending with Rentarou, Sara, and Souju back together again -- the three of them, not two, three of them together, as the title says :)
...Be nice if we get to see some more Lulu and Lala as well :)
Was it just me or were elements of the wedding reminiscent of the wedding scene in 'Castle of Cagliostro'?
