Zettai Shounen 4

Ayumu rides his bike and stops in front of a forest for a second, then goes on... Miki goes to the school to talk to Ryousuke, climbing over the gate to get in, giving us a glimpse of pantsu (that would be called panchira). Ryousuke asks her what she thinks about Ayumu. Ayumu lied to Akira (that reporter) when he said he didn't see anything. Miki says Ayumu might not have wanted to get involved. Ryousuke then asks about Takuma -- Takuma's with Shione. Ryousuke says he can't go along with that since he thinks Takuma should have his eye on Miki.. end of that conversation, so Miki runs off, climbing back over the gate -- giving Ayumu, who's there on his bike, a good view of something, it would seem. But it seems that Miki doesn't care ;)
They both ride to the conbini, and there Miki asks Ayumu if he would keep quiet about Miku. She can see things that you normally can't see, she knows things that she shouldn't be able to know. But she's happy that Ayumu took what Miku says seriously, since she can't... she asks if Ayumu has seen something...
Shione calls Takuma, asking if they could meet sometime. Takuma gives a yes... Miki and Ayumu walk along, now looking for Wakkun, it seems. He could be in Emerald Land, and if so perhaps they should talk to Shione.. but Ayumu feels like Wakkun's not there, he's not anywhere to be found. Miki once again asks if he's seen things you wouldn't normally see and such.. Miku's been like for about 2 years. She vanished for half a day, then showed back up, and ever since then she's been able to see things that you normally wouldn't see, and knows things she shouldn't know. They found her in the Touya 頭屋Forest -- long ago the 庄屋 (shouya) village headman lived there. Miki hasn't been in there -- she'd be cursed if she did -- there's also talk of ghosts and the like there, even adults are scared of going in. Ayumu seems to remember something... he says there's a secret hidden there...
Miki and Ayumu run into Miku-chan, who seems to be in a rather bad mood. She asks if they're on a date -- of course not ;) She says it's pointless, they won't find Wakkun even if they search. Wakkun's always been waiting, and he's still waiting, Ayumu doesn't need to look for him. Miku runs off... then Takuma comes walking up. Miki introduces Ayumu to him and they walk together. Takuma asks Miki if she and her sisters will be participating in the "Cat Dance" again. The oldest sister, Mika, will be coming back to appear in it. Takuma calls it cosplay ;) Shione's waiting for Takuma and gives a mean glace before Miki explains she met up with Takuma just by chance. Miki tells Ayumu to ask Shione about Wakkun, but Ayumu won't... he has a feeling that what Miku said was right.
Right then Akira pulls up in her car, asking them if they wouldn't talk to her again. Doesn't seem like any of them feel like it since they all make up excuses and go on their way, all except for Shione... Ayumu rides up towards the river again, passing the Tskuyomi Observatory again and Heigorou-san and Roku who are outside. Heigorou-san once again says something odd, that odd things happen when the world's cover gets weak, whatever that means. Ayumu gives call back to his dad to tell him he won't make it back in time to fix dinner...
While Ayumu waits at the place where he met Wakkun, Okakababa shows up on the other side of river, seemingly telling Ayumu to follow her. Ayumu follows her through the forest, coming to a place full of those strange "fairies", and Wakkun. Wakkun wants Ayumu to play with him, but Ayumu says he won't since it's late. But Ayumu promised... Ayumu says he'll play with Wakkun tomorrow. Wakkun says he'll call Dosshiru and Shisshimu along as well. Ayumu doesn't remember them, does he? One of the lights comes closer to Ayumu and reveals itself as one of those mechanical "fairies". That's Dosshiru? The lights disappear and Wakkun disappears along with them....
Still not much explained about Wakkun and the fairies this time even though Ayumu finally met him again. But we did learn why Miku-chan is how she is... I guess she met either Wakkun or those fairies in that forest, much like Ayumu did when he was young, and that's why she can see things and knows things and such. But why was she so angry with Ayumu?... That "Cat Dance" Miki mentioned also seems to be important -- there's a girl -- the elder Miyama sister, Mika? -- wearing a cat mask in the opening... But at this point we still don't really know enough to say much about anything.
Besides that... more interesting camera angles this time, along with the panchira and Ayumu seeing stuff. The show really is rather like the Japanese bloggers describe it, I guess, though I'm not watching it for that, of course :) But thankfully that doesn't take away from the intrigue of the show or anything else, at least for now. And while I was glad to see Miku-chan this time... I'd like to see more of her being a bit happier, though still with her sharp tongue ;)

Do you understand why Sakakura is so taken aback by Ayumu's use of the first-person pronoun "boku" that he becomes embarassed to use Ayumu's name, referring to him as "boku" instead? Sakakura uses "ore" rather than "boku", and my understanding is that "ore" suggests macho self-confidence while "boku" is reserved for younger males. So why would Ayumu's "boku" wrongfoot Sakakura? Is there some sort of city/country dialect difference here, in which Sakakura somehow feels Ayumu is showing him up as a bumpkin by using more polite grammar?
Incidentally, speaking of erotic camera angles and whatnot, I'm rather looking forward to the oldest Miyama sister showing up. I suspect we see her a couple of times in the OP, tangled up with some cables, and later flying a fish-kite at night surrounded by fairy lights.
