Da Capo Second Season 6

Miharu's chougenki as usual this morning, so much so that she has a feeling that something good's going to happen during the day. When she arrives at school with Jun'ichi and the rest she finds a letter inside her locker and lets out a big scream. But she won't tell anybody what the letter's about... leading Jun'ichi to speculate that it was a love letter. During class he seems rather happy that Miharu's finally found a significant other.
At lunch, Miharu isn't quite her genki self. She won't eat the banana pudding Kotori made so something's up. Jun'ichi tells everybody about the letter Miharu got that morning -- telling everybody that it's a love letter -- but Miharu still won't say anything about it. Aishia, being Aishia, decides to go off on her own and use her magic to see what's written in the letter. Jun'ichi chases her and grabs her at the top of some stairs and both end up falling down them. So it's to the nurse's office...
Miharu comes in to check and see how Jun'ichi and Aishia are doing. The nurse apparently has something to say to Miharu, but they can't talk about it in front of everyone. And that gets the speculation about who sent that letter to Miharu fueled even more -- now they think the nurse has his eye on Miharu (^^;;;) Miharu's the topic of discussion as Aishia, Jun'ichi, and Kotori walk from school. Aishia asks Jun'ichi if he's got a significant other -- he quickly changes the subject back to Miharu...
Spoiler-ish screencaps ahead...

The next day at a school assembly, Jun'ichi has an eye on Miharu as the nurse speaks to the students. Mako and the others think he knows something that they don't about Miharu, so they want to be in the loop as well. They get rather loud and... a very familiar voice tells them to quiet down.
音夢キタ━━━(゚∀゚)━━━ !!!
Nemu kita----!
After a moment of shock the students respond with a bunch of "Welcome backs" and such, and Miharu jumps up saying the same. Jun'ichi's rather quiet, though, and stays that way when he's back in class. So Nemu's back now.. it's been two years since she left Hatsunejima to go to nursing school. Jun'ichi, not in a very good mood, leaves to go off somewhere by himself...
Nemu gets ready for lunch, seemingly for more than one since shes got another bentou in her bag. The other nurse asks why she asked him to only tell Miharu of the news of her coming back, and not the most important person. Nemu says she wanted it to be a something of a surprise. Miharu shows up, and after a bit crying and hugging -- and observing that Nemu has gotten any, ahem.. bigger... over the past two years.. they both have lunch together. The mood elsewhere in the school is rather subdued...
Kotori goes back home by herself.. And as evening comes Mako goes to Nemu to tell her where Jun'ichi is. Nemu runs off to go meet him...

Jun'ichi sits next to the ocean all by himself as Nemu comes running up. He doesn't seem to be in a good mood... Nemu doesn't like that he went off by himself.. she's waited so long to see "Nii-san" again. But Jun'ichi's been waiting as much she has and doesn't like that she surprised him like that.. Nemu grabs his arm and yells at him, asking if it would've been better for her to not come back. Jun'ichi lifts a hand... but then embraces her.
Nemu and Jun'ichi walk back home and right there as they walk in is Aishia doing her usual chores. Nemu demands an explanation for it. And when Aishia says "Jun'ichi" she loses it ;)
Well, at least Aishia didn't call Jun'ichi goshujin-sama. Can imagine how that would've been (^^;;) Anyways...
Everybody that's surprised Nemu is already back raise your hands. (゜∀゜)ノ Though I expected her back, I definitely wasn't expecting her to come back so quickly and in such... a normal way. From the way things were building up and the way Jun'ichi acted when Nemu was mentioned I would've thought it'd be a bit more dramatic than this. It's very odd that Nemu isn't in the OP if she's going to play a big role. From the OP you'd think the show would be all Kotori and Aishia...
Well, I suppose we'll get our drama and angst pretty soon with how things seem to be set up now. So... with Nemu back and Jun'ichi seeming to still be a siscon, Kotori would seem to be the big loser here. Though I'm admittedly a Nemu fan, that's a bit much... poor Kotori-chan.. and what about Aishia and all the other girls as well? I thought they'd have their episodes to get their chances with Jun'ichi, but I guess not. And if Sakura comes back (is that her at the beginning of the OP?)... well, it would seem like we'd do DC all over again, but hopefully not. We shall see...

Well I did say I wanted this episode to focus on anyone but Aisia... Still I definitely wasn't expecting this. ^^;
Oh well... At least there's real competition for Kotori now. Personally I think this is a good thing. If Kotori ends up with Jun'ichi I want there to be no doubts whatsoever. The same with Nemu. Both girls deserve better than to be the proverbial "second strings".
Anyways I'm cheering for Kotori myself. She probably doesn't have a chance though. ;_;
Still... KOTORI-CHAN! FIGHT~O!!! ^___^
Yeah, I'm more than a little surprised...Nemu doesn't even appear on the characters page on the DCSS website, and here she is showing up in ep 6. I thought for sure she'd appear only at the very end of the series...
I'm curious if they're going to explain the circumstances under which Nemu left...it's hard to believe after season 1 and everything Junichi and Nemu went through that they would in the end be torn apart by...nursing school? Did Nemu even MENTION becoming a nurse in season 1?
It still kept me wondering why would Nemu want to go to a Nursing School (since she said 'please understand' with Jun'ichi)
And does Kotori know about Jun'ichi's relationship with Nemu...? hmmm... :P
I'm actually postulating that Nemu doesn't stay long since she hasn't graduated from nursing school and is there only to help with the school's health check. (To be confirmed in ep 7) If so, her temporary appearance is important for Kotori to put in perspective her relationship with Junichi and decide on a course of action (ie more drama). I personally cannot see Nemu sticking around since it would totally kill Kotori's chances and the series too as there would be no serious competition to speak of. As much as I'm a Nemu fan, I hope (for the series' sake) she would leave and return only in the latter eps when Kotori's position in Junichi's heart is strong enough to challenge her.
I think Sakura will be back also at the beginning of second part. Then we can have two main conflicts:
- Nemu and Kotori, who will Junichi choose
- Sakura and Aishia, ethic about magic, the conflict in Second Graduation manga
but, just guessing, might be wrong ^^;
I'm kinda annoyed at Jun'ichi barging into Kotori like that.
I wonder how hany people will stop watching from this episode on? :P
