Ichigo Mashimaro 9
While everybody's enjoying a snack at Nobue's house Miu points out that it seems to her like Chika's gotten a bit bigger recently. Chika doesn't seem to pay her any mind, but... she goes to the scale and checks. From her reaction it would seem she has gained some weight -- Miu is there next to her the whole time, but Chika doesn't realize until Miu helpfully points out that the scale isn't broken though Chika would like to believe so. While Chika makes cookies Miu annoys her again, decorating a cookie with the kanji 太 (fat) and saying she was trying to write 犬 (dog). After Miu points out that Chika seems to eat a lot to just check the taste Chika avoids food the rest of the day, even when Ana brings some cakes for everybody to eat. After everybody leaves Chika checks again -- no change.
Nobue notices a diet book in Chika's room so suggests that they all go to the park and play, thinking that perhaps Chika'll feel better. They gather at the park, with the first game being baseball -- though nobody seems to know how to play. Chika pitches to Nobue -- after Chika remembers all the tricks Nobue's played on her she throws a nasty fastball right at Nobue's side. Ouch (^^;;) Matsuri and Ana can't catch, so perhaps a game of soccer would be better. Nobue takes on Ana, Chika, and Miu, and she's pretty good. However, Miu knows her weakness -- Miu lifts up Ana's skirt, making Nobue take her eye off the ball and allowing Chika to score. Miu throws the baseball at Nobue for no reason (^^;;) Chika continues her dieting and exercising when she gets home -- somehow Miu is there with her. Chika goes to take a bath and Miu follows her, of course. And of course Miu does her best to annoy Chika all she can while they're in the bath (wearing towels, I should point out).
After getting out Nobue's in Chika's room with that diet book. Nobue tries to say something, but Chika says that she really has gained some weight -- 1kg to be exact (^^;;) Nobue takes out a tape measure and measures Chika's height, then points out that she's growing, so of couse she'd gain some weight. Nobue flips open the diet book again and looks through... she goes to the scale -- she's gained some weight (^^;;)

Chika kawaii yo Chika!
Chika-chan was too cute this time. Nice to have a episode where she actually stands out a bit.. though Miu did do her best to be as annoying as possible :P Still enjoyable :) Nothing else much to say other than that... well, other than that it's rather amazing we didn't see any pantsu this time given some of the situations. Guess they can't do that in the anime, though there's plenty in the manga -- mostly Miu. Go figure ;)
Yup, I loved this episode :) It's about time they brought Chi to the foreground. Granted, in the manga she's not the _main_ focus, but it was nice to see how Chi dealt with her little weight issue hehe Miu was as random and taunting as ever :)
