Animal Lane 2
Ami-chan's parents are out so she's all by herself at home. Well, not really since Issa, Iyo, and Kenta are there to keep her company. Ami-chan's going to make a cake so they want to help her out. Ami-chan would rather do it herself, but... Iyo dies (again) so Ami-chan agrees to let them help and Iyo springs back to life. The kinds of cakes Issa, Iyo, and Kenta want to make don't seem to be too good... even though Iyo does bake cakes back in AniYoko, Ami-chan imagines what kinds of cakes she'd make... and she's probably right (^^;;) So Ami-chan tries to make the cake but Issa, Iyo, and Kenta interfere and make it rather difficult. She has to go out to buy eggs since Iyo made her break the ones she had... Iyo tries to lay an egg herself for some reason (^^;;) In the end they do make a cake that looks pretty yummy, but Issa, Iyo, and Kenta don't like it at all. Ami-chan's parents come home (we don't see them, voice only) and her mom tries a bit of the cake -- it's good, she says. Ami-chan tries it herself and finds it pretty yummy. So exactly what kinds of cakes do they eat in AniYoko, anyways?.. I don't want to know (^^;;)
Ami-chan's got to observe an animal for homework, so Issa, Iyo, and especially Kenta are eager to volunteer to be her subject. Of course she's not dealing with your typical panda, rabbit, or bear with them so she can't really write what they do... Iyo likes eating meat (though she's a rabbit) and she can shoot laser beams from her ears.. Kenta doesn't act much like a bear -- can't catch fish from a river (or even a can) (^^;;) In the end she writes her observations about her mother.. humans are animals, right? Her teacher liked it so she shows it to her mother... not a great idea (^^;;)
Yet more silliness this time from the AniYoko trio, Iyo especially... she scares me (^^;;) Ami-chan was cute as usual. Though the stuff that happened this time makes me doubt that she's 5 years old:
1. Her parents leave her at home by herself
2. She can go to the store to buy eggs by herself
3. She can make a cake by herself
4. She has homework, and homework that requires writing at that
...so on, so on. Not things you would think a 5 year old in kindergarten would do. Seems like she could be even more a genius than Chiyo-chan (from Azumanga Daioh) at this rate ;)
ZOMG Chiyo-chan!! Iyo dieing yet again!! Craziness insues with this and probably many more episodes incoming... This is about as good as PPD, if not better.
Yet, both are crazy. Very crazy. XD
And no, Matt, I can't get that song out my head neither... Its just that good. =D
I was wondering about her being left at home alone too... kinda strange for a five year old.
I'm really liking this show, it's definitely very crazy and funny. I've had the OP stuck in my head all day long today as well. It's really catchy... especially that lucky day part.
I just love Kenta. I think he is just about the cutest bear ever. I really want a plushie of him... November's Ribon has a Zenin offer for all Animal Yokochou stuff. You can get a plush of any of the animals along with a face cloth and pen. Too bad they won't send internationally, I really would have liked the Kenta set... hopefully it'll come up on eBay sometime.
