Kenta's been working on putting together a jigsaw puzzle over the last week and he's almost done -- and he's very proud of himself. But, as usual, Iyo comes in to mess things up, wanting to play with him and messing up the puzzle in the process. They don't get along too well after that.. and then Iyo turns Kenta himself into a jigsaw puzzle (^^;;) She puts him back together, but there's still a puzzle piece on his chest... and then a quiz show starts with Iyo as host. Okay.. To get Kenta back to normal Ami-chan, Issa, and Kenta have to go solve all of Iyo's puzzles. As you would expect from Iyo, they're all rather weird -- a crossword puzzle where all the answers are Yamanami, a match puzzle, and an encounter with that nanchakofu in the OP lyrics -- a slime-like thing. Kenta gets them past that by melting (溶ける tokeru) it to solve (解ける tokeru) that one. In the end, bruised and battered, they come back to find Iyo dead since she was so lonely without them (^^;;;)
Ami-chan's mother once again goes out, leaving Ami-chan by herself. Issa, Kenta, and Iyo come in and start talking about what they'd like to eat. Kenta and Iyo still aren't getting along too well.. seems everybody thinks a nabe would be good. A holograph(?) of Yamanami-san appears to give them a mission -- make a 闇鍋 yaminabe (a nabe in which everybody brings an ingredient without revealing what it is. To keep it secret it's usually done in the dark 闇 yami). If they don't comply then something really bad will happen... Issa, Iyo, and Kenta make a quick trip to AniYoko to bring back some ingredients. Ami-chan is scared of what might end up in the yaminabe. And she's right to be scared since they bring back some odd ingredients.. Kenta even brings back Iyo's pet turtle.. he and Iyo fight again (^^;;) Ami-chan brings back some vegetables to stick into the nabe. Kenta wanted some meat in it.. Iyo tells him he should've brought it himself. He then offers himself for the nabe, jumping into it. But not really, it was a trick by him and Iyo (^^;;) Ami-chan turns off the lights... and someone's putting something in the nabe. When they all try it they find exactly what they wanted in it. Kenta and Iyo make up afterwards, then they head back to AniYoko.. But Iyo took it all from the kitchen, leaving nothing when Ami-chan's mom comes back...
Iyo is reminding me very much of Miu from Ichigo Mashimaro with all the random crazy (sometimes scary) things she does (^^;;) But Issa can be as scary as Iyo despite how gentle he seems.. that part where he ripped apart the 知恵の輪 chie no wa ("rings of wisdom") in the first half this time (^^;;) Kenta seems to be the one that'll be getting picked on all the time.. poor guy. And yet again there were plenty of things to make me doubt that Ami-chan is five years old (good at crossword puzzles at that age?). But she's cute so that doesn't really matter ;)
