Fushigiboshi no Futago Hime 35
While getting ready to have a rather luxurious breakfast, courtesy of Pumo working his butt off as usual, Fine notices that she has one of Miruro's brushes (how did that happen?). They all go to the castle to return it but the guards won't let them in since the Queen has decreed that no one is allowed to enter. While trying to figure out what's going on Fine is hit repeatedly by toys, and soon enough Naruro falls right on her head. Miruro's taking care of him as usual. Seems that her mother has been deceived by Bright, who said that everything that happened was Fine and Rain's fault. So he's stooped that low... Altessa's going to find a way to get him back to normal, though, that's why she's with Fine and Rain in the first place. There's no way she'd be hanging out with such annoying types otherwise :P Fine and Rain are all ready to go... so they do a little dance to the OP music. sono ki yaru ki kiai juubun!

I have to say it at least once, you know ;) While Fine and Rain are dancing, Miruro says she wants to help out as well, and that everybody should work together to find a way to get Bright back to normal. Fine and Rain get the idea to have a summit with all of the princesses... Camelot and Lulu are nearby keeping an eye on things as usual... and Naginyo's there as well :P
Shifting to the (former) chancellor's lair, where he's ready to test the Black Luce yet again....

Well, not really since it seems only those who are chosen can use the power of the Prominence. Too bad :P
Fine, Rain, and Altessa arrive in the Sun Kingdom and greet the king and queen, along with Omendo. Fine and Rain tell their parents that they're going to hold a summit with all the princesses, and Altessa goes off to get herself dressed for it. After Altessa leaves, Omendo explains what he's been up to -- he's put together a device to amplify the power of the Sun's Blessing, so things are okay, at least for now....
Bumo was keeping a watch on the conversation, using up quite a bit of power to do so. Seems Bright has his mind on Fine as always.. he can't understand why she's getting in the way of him becoming king... The (former) chancellor comes in to offer the perfected Black Luce to Bright. When he touches it, it transforms into a boomerang-like thing, giving him the power of the Prominence. And with that, the (former) chancellor's role is done, says Bumo. He's eaten up by the power of darkness, not to be seen again...saraba, (moto)daijin - farewell, (former) chancellor. You gave us some good laughs ;)
All the other princesses arrive, as well as the princes, so the summit is all ready to start... Bright and Bumo have infiltrated the Sun Kingdom's castle, and Bright uses the one-person prominence to stop those who are in his way.... after explaining the situation once again to everyone, they discuss what to do next. Miruro says that they can't let the power of darkness grow any more. Well, she tries to say it -- Sophie finishes her sentence halfway through. Please don't take Miruro-chan's lines away from her, Sophie, she already doesn't get many as it is (^^;;) But how do they stop Bright? The power of darkness uses peoples weakened hearts, so they have to keep strong.. is what Miruro tries to say, but Sophie steals her line yet again :P But the only thing that can resist Bright is Fine and Rain's prominence, so they should put all their power together to support them. After Altessa says that they can't screw up, Fine and Rain do the iyaiya dance (^^;;)
While Camelot and Lulu walk through the halls they see the maids that Bright has frozen... Bright's already made his way into the throne room... Fine and Rain bring out the Crystal Fortulette to once again tell them where to go next. It says... nothing. So that means?! They run to the throne room to find Bright absorbing all the Promin from the machine Omendo built, gaining that much more strength. Tio, even Shade can't stop him. Fine shouts out to Bright, saying that he's being controlled... but Bright won't listen. Bumo's had enough so he tells Bright to do it already. Bright calls forth a tornado with the power of the Prominence, so it's time for Fine and Rain to do their thing. They use the Prominence to stop the tornado... but only momentarily. Bright's too strong for them to handle... he and Bumo leave...
Fine and Rain's Prominence isn't strong enough to battle Bright, so they've got to power up somehow... but how? Everyone seems depressed.... Altessa reminds everyone that that kind of thinking is exactly what the power of darkness needs. That's why they had they summit... exactly why she's not going to leave it to such unreliable types as Fine and Rain :P Pumo's overjoyed that everybody's supporting Fine and Rain... they'll do their best! And they do the ganbarou dance, getting everybody else to join in :)
Well, things have certainly picked up now with Bright gaining the power of the Dark Prominence. And with that, the (former) chancellor is its first victim. First time Bumo's actually looked really evil (^^;;) I really did NOT need to see the (former) chancellor all dressed up like that, but it was good for some laughs. Too bad we won't be seeing him around anymore :( At least Bright didn't do bun-bun-Bright! and dress up... though I don't get the boomerang thing... anyways, with Bright as strong as he is now the time for Fine and Rain to level up to Eternal Solar Princesses isn't far off. Though we already know what they'll look like when they do level up 'cause of the calendar and figures ;)
Extremely glad that Miruro made her second appearance in a row with more than a few lines. Super cute as usual, and when she's taking care of Naruro she looks almost like a mom herself. She's such a good big sister :) I wish Sophie would stop taking her lines :P But that's typical Sophie, so anyways ;)
Next time, for some reason the Princess Party in the Water Drop Kingdom goes on ahead. But it seems Queen Yarmul has fallen under Bright's control... I didn't see Miruro in the next ep preview, but I would think she'd be making her (miraculous) third straight appearance. Hopefully her and her mom will resolve things next time :)
Added: In case you missed it, I've ordered the Futago Hime Twinkle Princess Box from HLJ, along with a couple of books, the himitsu jiten and this Futago Hime Character Detail Book. The detail book includes: info on all the characters, all the dances Fine and Rain have done, setting details, interviews with the director and cast, and an episode guide for the first 28 episodes. Had to have it :) It's scheduled to be released December 1st (Thursday), so the order should ship close to then.
I hope that Fine and Eclipse is together in the ending
Did anyone notice that when Shade spoke he said Rain's name first then Fine's?^-^
I always had the feeling that it would be his love of Fine that would bring him back, even before the "Bumo is Pumo" ep (33, right?). Or rather, some kind of love would do the deed, be it his love of Fine, Rain's love of him, Altessa's love for her brother, or some combination there of.
Lots of action in this one, but very little Auraa action *sigh* But I had a thought: if Fine and Rain have to combine their powers to properly use the prominence, will Bright have to do the same kind of thing? Will he ended up trying to seduce Altessa into joining him, ala Darth Vader in The Empire Strikes Back?
Dark Bright: Altessa, with our combined strength, we can end this destructive conflict and bring order to the Mysterious Planet.
Altessa: I'll never join you!
Or something like that...

Has the futago hime manga stopping running in Ciao?
I wish they showed everyone doing the ganbarou dance at the end...especially Shade!
