Atori, Tobi, and Isuka head out to capture the Dragon's Torque on their own.... meanwhile, Ai and Haruka go over to Miho's house, where we meet her mother. Who is pretty much just as expected considering Miho -- easy to see where Miho got it from (^^;;) Ai and Haruka grudgingly play along with Miho as she gets out a Oujia board and asks it for an answer as to why Haruka's worrying about things so much. The answer it gives? Noein. No one has an idea of what Noein is, though... so on with asking more interesting things... like when is Miho going to get married (^^;;)
Karasu watches Haruka as she leaves Miho's house with Ai. Fukurou arrives and sees Karasu seems to be reminded of someone by Haruka.. but that Haruka isn't the Haruka they know. Fukurou tells Karasu to be careful since Atori's around... Koriyama screws around with Uchida-chan (what he calls her) for a bit, then we move to Yuu's house. As Yuu comes down from his room his mom asks what he wants to eat.. as he starts to say something she says she knows him best, so he should listen to what she says. She knows he can do it, just like his older sister... Isami sits on the sidelines during soccer pratice, supposedly doing "image training" as Ai comes over to tell him to stop being lazy. The topic of conversation is Yuu... Yuu's mom took his phone away so they can't call him... Ai sends a nice shot over towards the goal where some other guys are slacking off. Scary ;) That night, Yuu is, as usual, alone in his room with his razor blade. Haruka tries to signal him from her house by flashing a flashlight, but he doesn't pay any attention...
Atori, Tobi, and Isuka arrive and disconnect themselves. The effects of being disconnected aren't known, but Isuka's fine with things if he disappears there. It's a pretty nice place -- the sky's blue and such. Atori won't go away so easily, though... Isami goes to Yuu's house, and there on the front door is a sign saying that Yuu's studying and can't play now. He tells Miho, Haruka, and Ai about it, with the usual arieneee! thrown in there ;) He doesn't get it... if Yuu passes the exam he'll be going to Tokyo so this would be their last summer together. Ai wonders if Yuu really wants to go to school in Tokyo. Isami says he'll go talk with Yuu and make sure of that -- by sneaking in Yuu's house at night.... Haruka hears that voice again and turns around to see that old man. No one else can see him, though. He warns her to be careful... Suddenly, Haruka asks Ai to save her and then... she just disappears. Uchida and Koriyama pick up a reading and follow it...
Now at the outskirts of town near a dam, Haruka's surrounded by Atori, Isuka, and Tobi. However, Tobi collapses, so Atori asks Isuka to take care of getting rid of the Dragon's Torque. Karasu arrives on the scene to stop them -- if the power of the Dragon's Torque erases everything then that's just fine to him. Isuka fights Karasu, but Karasu is pretty strong... Isuka manages to capture Haruka... Yuu somehow senses Haruka's in danger and remembers Karasu' words to him.. As Isuka tightens his hold on Haruka, Karasu screams at him to stop, then after remembering something, loses it and punches Isuka in the stomach, making an nice big hole through him. Ouch... Atori takes his leave for now, and Isuka says a final farewell to Karasu before disappearing. Karasu remembers the final words of the Haruka in his world and loses control of himself even more, saying everything should disappear. Though Haruka tries to get him to stop, he breaks the dam. However, the power of the Dragon's Torque activates and Haruka somehow puts the dam back together as it was before.
Karasu returns to normal and Haruka collapses from using up so much power, seeming not to realize what she just did. So she has the power to manipulate space and time? Fukurou arrives and asks Karasu where Atori is. Karasu says he killed Isuka. He won't give over the Dragon's Torque -- he won't give over Haruka. A bit further away, Uchida and Koriyama saw it all. And Uchida's got a bit of visual evidence -- a picture of Haruka with her arms raised... Yuu's mom opens the door to find Yuu gone. Yuu's run away again.. He tries calling Haruka, but there's no answer of course. Karasu then appears in front of him carrying Haruka. Karasu tells him he has to protect Haruka... Karasu is forcefully transported back, still carrying Haruka, so both disappear right in front of Yuu....
Things started moving in a bigger way storywise this time. We were given some hints of what happened in Karasu' past to make him so insistent on protecting this world's Haruka since he lost his Haruka. Karasu was pretty scary when he lost it and went all nihilistic there... We also saw the awesome power of the Dragon's Torque to manipulate space and time (and other dimensions?) as used by Haruka. Pretty darn powerful stuff there... there was something missing this time, however. No Haruka bath scene. Ahem... :P
Next time, Haruka is in the world of Karasu and the others. There's a possibility she won't be able to go back? And what's Yuu going to do now? And what exactly happened to the Haruka Karasu knew? I'm enjoying Noein so far, and not only because Haruka's cute, as some of you might think, so I'm looking forward to seeing where we go from here :P
Could I just ask, how come you call him Kalas instead of Karasu? Seeing that it's intentionally named after the bird...
