Kage Kara Mamoru 7
Airi, along with Yuuna and Mamoru are supposedly going to study (...is studying really going to help them?), but Airi ends up looking through a photo album of Yuuna in her younger days. kawaisu!
Of course, this being a harem show, the other girls end up coming to give Mamoru some homemade food. Hotaru and Yamame especially don't seem to be getting along very well at all... After seeing that photo album, the discussion turns to what Mamoru and Yuuna were like when they were younger...
*start flashback*

Yuuna kawaii yo Yuuna!
Yuuna was quite a bit cuter in her younger days... I think it's her eyes, definitely, they look normal ;) And apparently she was born a banana lover.
Mamoru was protecting Yuuna even back then, taking the blame for everything that was her fault. Yuuna wouldn't have made it without him. She seems to have been even more an airhead back when she was younger (^^;;) At least Mamoru's got a really cute girl to protect... he might not have lasted otherwise ;) Mamoru gets fed up with having to protect her, and the one day where he's not with her she gets kidnapped (of course).
...so Mamoru goes out with the previous Burumaru to search for her. The previous Burumaru kicked as much butt as the current Burumaru does. Ninja dogs are very cool :)
They find one of Yuuna's friends, Ami-chan, who was being attacked by the dog Burumaru took care of quite quickly. Yuuna was apparently taken by some men who were driving a red sportscar when she went to them to ask for help...

It's too bad that this is probably the first and last time that we'll see her...
Ami-chan gives Mamoru a present Yuuna said she was going to give him -- a little Burumaru doll to go along with a Mamoru doll she made. Awwwwwwww, how sweet :)
After falling down in the rain while searching for that red car, Mamoru remembers the reason she made that Burumaru doll for him. She really does think of him... and if he doesn't protect her then no one will. With his resolve back, Mamoru follows the red car that passes by... and he finds Yuuna tied up in a warehouse. He tries to take on the 3 guys who took her for ransom, but he can't handle them by himself..
Thankfully, his parents are there to save him :)
And the next day... Yuuna doesn't even seem to have realized that she was kidnapped until she saw it on the news. Yup, she's that stupid (^^;;)
..but she's damn cute, which helps things a lot. One last time: Yuuna terakawaisu!
*end flashback*
And back in the present the crazy harem hijinks resume..
Quite a sweet episode this time, probably my favorite so far. Animation was really good this time, making little Yuuna that much cuter :) Next time looks to be an episode starring the tsundere of the show, Airi, so it should be fun. However, we'll have to wait another week for it as Kage Kara Mamoru isn't on this Saturday -- next episode will be March 4th.
I do wonder how they made Yuuna cuter - although, as you've noted, it's probably the fact she's got a) normal eyes, and b) doesn't have those braids w hich helps the impression of cuteness.
I think the eyes make a huge difference--present Yuuna's eyes look just a little too low or too narrow somehow, while chibi Yuuna's look like more normal eyes for an anime character, to me anyway. The real question is who's a bigger baka, Yuuna or Milfuelle? Seeing the two of them trying to solve a problem together would be hilarious.
I think Yuuna wins against Milfuelle, Milfuelle might be an airhead but she's never forgotten to go to the bathroom before that I'm aware of. ^_^
Manga Milfuelle's less of an idiot, still a bit airheaded though. I like her better. :)
