Sore yuke! Tetsunoshin 5

With Rumi-chan's family still without enough money, Tetsunoshin has to make due with lower-quality dog food. He won't complain since he knows the situation the family's in... but he would much rather have what Rumi-chan's having for dinner and starts drooling (^^;;)

Pochi offers Tetsunoshin a bone when they meet that day. Tetsunoshin refuses, saying he doesn't want any handouts. A warrior like himself is... lemonade? Meaning that even in tough times he's sweet/sour and refreshing... yeah... anyways, the dog food he's eating now isn't that good. Pochi seems surprised that he's eating such low-quality stuff. Tetsunoshin runs off crying, ending up going to Dog Paradise.

There, Meg and Victoria are having quite a cat... dog fight. Seems there's a new movie called "A Dog Barks at the Center Of the World" and there's an audition for leading dog coming up. Meg says Victoria is too old to act, but Victoria says Meg's too young and not sexy enough. Seto-sama steps in to stop them, saying they'll decide who'll audition for the part by Rock-Paper-Scissors. Only problem is that it's impossible to tell who's what with them as dogs... Seto-sama turns them into humans -- Meg is rock, Victoria scissors, so Meg wins... turns out that whoever gets the lead role will get 10 million yen. Tetsunoshi's interested now. Hakase says that a very popular male idol, Takuo Himuro, will also be appearing in the movie. And also that everybody that sees the heroine dog in the movie will go moe over her.... yup, he said moe, like 萌え. He is an otaku, you know ;)

And it's mousou time as Tetsunoshin's imagination goes wild. He imagines himself star of a western. He's got a quicker draw than the bad guys, and Rumi-chan comes up and hugs him... then the stereotypical boy chases girl on the beach scene comes... Rumi-chan kawaii~ :).. out of daydream mode, we see Tetsunoshin making another odd face, and for some reason on the trunk of an elephant (^^;;)

Tetsunoshin shows Rumi-chan the paper article about the audition. She (and her mom) seems to be a fan of Himetaku (Takuo Himero's nickname), so she and Tetsunoshin are definitely going. They somehow get Aya and Pochi and Yuki-chan and Chocola to go to the "Dog barks at center in the world" (what the banner onstage says....) audition. Tetsunoshin compliments Chocola, very much impressed by her kawaiiness... and that line from her back to her tail. Ero dog :P Anyways, as you'd expect, Jon and Reika are there for the audition as well. The director of the movie, Steven Shirosawa (nice naming) is introduced, along with Takuo.... Takuo immediately takes off his shirt, saying "I love you", making the ladies go wild (^^;;) So the audition gets started, with Jon doing his best Takuo impression, Meg doing a nice ballet move, and Pochi getting all tangled up in wires. Tetsunoshin goes on stage next with his pedigree scroll in hand... mouth and shows it to the director. He's not impressed (^^;;)

The results of the audition are announced -- the lead heroine is Meg, and the lead hero is Jon. Tetsunoshin thinks it a waste that nobody understands Chocola's cuteness. Turns out that Kurogane's sponsoring the movie, so Jon was going to win no matter what... Yuki-chan and Rumi-chan go to Tetsunoshin and Pochi after the audition to tell them that they'll have a part in the movie... and they get a poster of Himutaku, too....

We go right to the filming, at a scene where Jon is separated from his owner (Takuo). Jon's high up on a bridge and is supposed to bungie jump down from it -- only problem is that the rope seems a bit long, as the dummy dog hits the ground below when it's released (^^;;) Hakase and Seto-sama are in the submarine below in the river, keeping an eye on things. Jon gets scared and refuses to jump, so the director says he'll find someone else to be the hero. Tetsunoshin's scared, but since it's all for the money to help out Rumi-chan he'll do it. He jumps, screaming all the way down... in the next scene Tetsunoshin is covered in honey. A large cage is brought out and opened... a big bear runs out after Tetsunoshin. Thankfully, Hanzou uses his ninja skills to stop the bear. Very kakkoii~ :)

So we come to the final moving scene where Tetsunoshin is reunited with Takuo. Tetsunoshin's supposed to swim across a river to him. One of the director's assistants comes up to Shirosawa and says that because of some rain recently that there's a chance of a flash flood. Shirosawa says to keep on rolling (^^;;) Filming starts, with Takuo doing his signature move and Tetsunoshin swimming across to him. But while Tetsunoshin's swimming a flood of water rushes down the river, carrying him away. Takuo jumps in, swimming after him as Shirosawa tells his cameraman to keep on filming. Rumi-chan runs down the side of the river, eventually trying to jump in to save him, but she ends up getting carried away by the current. A waterfall is straight ahead... Seto-sama, observing things from the submarine, uses his dog magic to turn Tetsunoshin into Celeb Knight. Celeb Knights swims past Takuo and makes a beautiful swinging catch of Rumi-chan as she falls down the waterfall. Shirosawa's so impressed that he asks Celeb Knight to star in his movie (^^;;)

Shirosawa screens the movie for Kurogane, who wonders where Jon, supposedly the lead, is...

There's Jon (^^;;)

The movie ends up being cancelled since Kurogane won't sponsor it anymore. While reading that news, Rumi-chan wonders who the guy who saved her is... Tetsunoshin's sleeping soundly with an innocent smile, probably having a fun dream, Rumi-chan thinks...

Certainly looks fun, but I dunno about innocent (^^;;)

Back to the usual insanity this time which made for more laughs than last week's more subdued episode. Chiwa (as Meg) was in good form this week with that nice sharp tongue of hers and generally being stuck-up :) And Hakase... I did not expect that I'd hear moe mentioned in this show. I don't think the kids understand what that is, you know... (^^;;) And Takuo.... no comment (^^;;)

Anyways, Tetsunoshin's varied expressions were really funny this time, along with his overactive imagination. Good job not saying something that'd make Chocola smack him into next week again (^^;;) Celeb Knight made an appearance for the first time in a few episodes, and now the whole thing with Rumi-chan trying to find out who he is looks to be getting started now. Next week's episode is a Valentine's episode, so we'll have to see who Rumi-chan (and Yuki-chan) likes. Hopefully it'll be as crazy (or more) than this week, as Tetsunoshin is definitely at its best then :)
