Binchou-tan 5

Binchou-tan heads to town by bird bus as usual, while Chiku-tan is in quite a hurry to leave as well. Chikurin wants to go along, but of course she can't. She's also interested in playing with the flint her dad had, so she starts striking it together and... ouch, that had to hurt. She starts crying and Chiku-tan tries to calm her down. She blows up a ballon with itai ("pain") written on it then releases it... literally making the pain fly away. Smart idea there, Chiku-tan ;)
Binchou-tan's looking for work again (as the narrator nee-tan says), and this time she manages to get through and grab a work posting. Chiku-tan's got a new invention to help her this time -- she uses one those sticky hand-like things to grab one, but the paper won't unstick. Oops (^^;;) Binchou-tan's work is to help out at a bakery the next day, and Chiku-tan's is to help with lunch at a school the day after that. However, Chiku-tan wants to go to the city market that's coming up the day after next to buy things so she can't help at the school. Binchou-tan and Chiku-tan swap jobs, not paying any attention to the receptionist. Binchou-tan catches the last part about dressing up a bit since she'll be working at a pretty high class school.
While Chiku-tan works at the bakery Binchou-tan stays home. She thinks about putting on some new clothes... but thinks about it and doesn't. She heads out to town the next day, walking through the rain since the bird bus isn't running. A carriage we've seen before comes up behind... and you knew it was going to happen -- Binchou-tan gets splashed by the carriage, soaking the clothes she had just cleaned. Poor thing... and on top that when she gets to the school to do her job the lady there scolds her for coming in like that. It's not her fault... (ノД`) Binchou-tan ends up pushing a cart with students' lunch on it to Kunugi-tan's class. She peeks in... then slams her head on the edge of the window when Kunugi-tan looks at her, making quite a loud sound.. ouch.... Kunugi-tan covers for her by saying that she hit her head.
And Chiku-tan? Well, since it's raining the market she was so much looking forward to is canceled.

Binchou-tan heads back and asks the lady if there's anything else she can help out with. She forgot to bring something for lunch so she's not got anything to do. Poor Binchou-tan.... she washes windows and floors, then goes back to retrieve the lunch cart and clean up. After getting her pay for her work she heads home.. Kunugi-tan's waiting for her outside and runs up to her. She's really sorry about her carriage messing up her clothes earlier, so she wants to give Binchou-tan some money to buy new clothes. Binchou-tan says she doesn't need it and walks away. Why would that be? Flashback to when Binchou-tan was even smaller and pretty active like Chikurin is... The clothes that she's wearing now were made by her very gentle grandmother, so she treasures them :)
Poor Binchou-tan, poor everybody this time... Chikurin hurt her hand, Chiku-tan didn't get to go buy stuff at the market, Binchou-tan got splashed with mud and hit her head, then Kunugi-tan tried to be friendly with Binchou-tan but didn't get the response she wanted. Can see why Binchou-tan would be upset since Kunugi-tan tried to give her money to replace something that's irreplacable. But hopefully those two will become friends pretty soon :) Next time, Ren-tan! Looking forward to seeing her... but when are we going to meet Aroe? ;)

That was such a nice sound... when she knocked her head. ^_^
I wonder if this means that Binchou-tan will be working at Kunagi-tan's school more, or if there'll be some stalkin-- err, Kunagi keeping track of Binchou-tan soon? :D
Yeah, eveyone had a day today. Poor 'Binchou-tan', living all alone. And of course having your grandmother as you last living relative is enough to pull anyone's heart out. Oye vay. Such a cute show. Looking forward to more episodes.
This is another ep that made me go "Awwwwww...!" I agree with yuukisama2001, binchou-tan is such a cute show, but there's alot more to it than cuteness. It is also extremely heartwarming and never fails to bring a smile to my face at the end. Such a lovely girl, being so poor, living alone and all but never complaining and always feeling content about her life.
This must be one of my favorites this year, aside from kamichu! ^_^
