Binchou-tan 6

Binchou-tan goes to town and finds some work as usual. On the way to the place where she's working she sees a TV with one of her favorite shows featuring that weird Pukashuu character on. However, someone changes the channel right as Pukashuu is being chased by a shark, so she goes on... We are then introduced to Ren-tan, daughter of a Buddhist family that has a temple. Binchou-tan happens to be working at that temple, but Ren-tan leaves before they can meet. Meanwhile, Chikurin and Chiku-tan enjoy some snacks and try to hit a drawing to get some more chocolate, but both end up not. Ren-tan comes by and tries her luck... and of course she gets the prize, two really big pieces of chocolate which she gives to Chikurin and Chiku-tan.
Binchou-tan works around the temple cleaning statues and such. The monk there tells her to do her work joyfully, as even the stone Buddhas there have a heart. He thanks her for her hard work by giving her some dango that are apparently Ren-tan's favorite, and she heads home. On the way she sees a statue of the Buddhist bodhisattva Ksitigarbha (jizou in Japanese) and clears some leaves that were on it. She offers it a prayer and some of the dango she received... Ren-tan finishes up her snack (how many dango did she eat?) and heads home, passing by that statue and noticing the offering that Binchou-tan left.
At home, Ren-tan gets her grandfather's mokugyo (that drum she's playing in the OP) and carries it off to play it. Her grandfather looks for it, but can't find it. When he comes back again Ren-tan has set the mokugyo back where it was. Ren-tan rings the temple bell as the sun sets... Back in town, Binchou-tan watches the rebroadcast of the show she was watching earlier and sees the ending. Pukashuu got away from the shark just fine, thankfully.
After taking a bath Ren-tan heads back out with the mokugyo to get started on her work. Apparently she can see spirits. Chiku-tan happens to be coming home from making a delivery at that time and sees Ren-tan and the spirits and freaks out. She runs back home and gets scared once again by her father. That night, she wakes up, having to go to the outhouse, but she's too scared to go by herself so she gets Chikurin to go with her (Isn't it normally the other way around?). While in the outhouse Chiku-tan asks Chikurin if she's there... yeah, there are a lot there, Chikurin responds, not afraid of the spirits that have shown themselves.
So Chikurin's scared of ghosts. Hilarious reactions from her there, and Chikurin as well. Chikurin doesn't seem to understand that ghosts are scary yet ;) Anyways, Ren-tan kawaisu! Dunno exactly what's going on with the being able to see spirits thing, but she seems a pretty nice girl. Too bad she and Binchou-tan didn't meet each other this time... Binchou-tan seemed to have a pretty good day this time. No sad stuff. Glad she got to see her favorite show to the end. No Kunugi-tan this time, but she'll be back next time. And we'll also be seeing Aroe (the girl with green hair that loves to swim) for the first time. Looks to be a festival episode so it should be fun :)

Ren-tan is the best!!! I wonder if she's a tsundere.
What's a tsundere?
I nearly melted when I saw Binchou-tan getting teary eyed and so worried about the fate of Pukashuu when it suddenly got cut off. SO CUTE!! And she offered half of her dango to the boddhisatva... such a nice girl o=)
