Magical Pokan 1

Opening: "senketsu no chikai" by Youseiteikoku - Warning: Does not reflect actual episode content ;) Much, much too cool and dark for what proceeds and follows it. Song reminds me of the Tsukuyomi ED for some reason or another.

With a quick intro at the very beginning we're introduced to a group of four rather... well, not exactly smart girls who have come to live in the human world, Uma the witch, Pachira the vampire, Liru the wolf, and Aiko the android. In the A part Pachira, Liru, and Aiko end up getting caught by this mad scientist, Super Doctor Keiko, who wants to use them to gain admission back into this scientific society she was banished from. Uma eventually shows up, worn out from practicing magic... of course when she tries to use her magic a cake ends up appearing (^^;;) And that's not all, as the next time... well, have a look:

は い て な い!
ha i te na i!

Some of y'all are familiar with that expression, right? ...seems Uma forgot to put something on when she left the house (^^;;;;) Super Doctor Keiko's assistant gets one of the bigger nosebleeds I've seen and flies around the room, eventually crashing into Keiko, no more problem.

And in the B part (like Aniyoko, Magical Pokan seems to be two separate parts each episode), Uma and the rest are having a nice peaceful sleepy day. When Uma wakes up she sees this person on a bike riding by, putting things in these boxes in front of peoples' houses. What could he be doing? Nobody seems to know what this thing called "mail" is. But apparently if you have a mailbox you get mail, so Uma and Aiko each make one and set it out in front of their (tree)house. The mailman rides by the next day and doesn't leave a thing... Uma and Aiko make bigger mailboxes. That just scares the guy all the more. Pachira goes out to try and charm him, but it doesn't work, of course, and she just ends up showing off her pantsu (yet again). Uma tries to use magic, but that doesn't work either. Pachira goes out again to try and bite the mailman, but she's repelled by the scent of garlic on his breath... oh well... Uma, Pachira, and Aiko see Liru reading a letter from a friend in Texas. So that's what "mail" is, ohhhhhh...

Not exactly smart kids here (^^;;) I didn't like the A part that much, but the B part's look at the girls' everyday life was a lot better. I like the slow-paced stuff as y'all know. Uma and Pachira are really cute, too :) Hopefully the rest of the show will be more like that.... wonder if the show will eventually resemble the OP a bit more... anyways, if I've got the time I'll keep on watching.

I find it amusing that the vampire girl Pachira keeps having all those panchira incidents. ^_- Very appropriately named there. :)

I bet the OP sounds like the Tsukuyomi ED to you because of the whole whisper singing thing. At least, that's why they sound similar to me.
