Simoun 3
A new Simoun pilot shevura joins the Col Tempest squad this time, Morinas@Nana Mizuki. And right off the bat all of those Simoun-specific words are thrown around all over the place. Thankfully, the words section of the Simoun website is up now, so that makes things a bit easier. Anyway, to make it short, it seems that nobody's figured out exactly how the yuri engines helical motris that powers the Simoun works, they haven't even taken it apart yet. When they repair it they're just fixing stuff they've added on, that's all. And I think that's about all of that... Anyways, Aaeru is late for a meeting of the other members of the Col Tempest squad -- apparently they're going to practice their li mersion (those shapes the Simoun shevura make in the sky with the the Simouns.. apparently there are hundreds of them) in this special "pool" in the ship that afternoon. And apparently they pick that time because Nevilile is going to be coming. Morinas seems to be set on having Nevilile as her paru (partner) and asks if she can pair up, but Nevilile says she'll pick whomever she chooses when the time comes. She asks Aaeru to pair up with Morinas -- so it wasn't quite a done deal between her and Aaeru, as simply flying together once doesn't mean that they're partners...
Aaeru arrives at the pool early, and two of the other members are there as well, Kaim and Alty, actually sisters. Aaeru asks why they don't team up, but it seems they don't get along all that well... elsewhere, Morinas speaks with the mechanic, Waporlifu, again. Seems that Waporlifu went to the Spring a bit over 2 years ago (I'm assuming she chose to become a man because the name ends with "fu"). And actually, he was in a relationship with Floe before he went to the Spring... what!? ;) Nevilile seems like she still hasn't gotten over the loss of her partner... the time for practice at the pool finally comes, and everybody's ready to go in their uhh... "swimsuits", I guess you could say. Nevilile isn't there yet, however... everyone still jumps into the pool and flies around, but they're not cooperating or watching out for each other at all, flying around aimlessly, almost crashing into each other. Talk about not having squad unity... Nevilile finally does show up and jumps in, and things finally start to come together... on the deck, yet another heavily damaged Simoun comes in for a landing...
The Col Tempest girls are going to have to get their act together if they're going to survive. And now with Aaeru and Morinas both competing for Nevilile, things aren't going to get easier, it'd seem... Anyways, a new character this time and I still haven't quite memorized the names of all of the girls yet (^^;;) We still don't quite have a clear picture of what each character is like yet, either... None of the characters besides Floe and Rimone really appeal to me as of now, but we'll see if that changes as things move on.
This time was "Distant War", next time is "Close War". Seems like there's going to be a lot of Rimone ;) Animation wasn't consistent all the time this time, and next time it seems like it's probably going to be the same... all I ask is that y'all at least draw Rimone as cute as she is in the OP ;)

And Rimone's snacking on chips this time. I guess that would explain why she's a bit chubby ;) Anyways, Noto got more than one line this time, so that's good :)
The "swimsuit" scene there got quite a reaction from the jikkyou as you'd expect. The Noto fans posted the usual saying (see from 461 on down) as is required ;)
Not much went on except for Rival Appears!
On a completely unrelated note, I was reading Salad Days (from lurker network), and noticed that it is full of tsundere characters (which you adore if I remember correctly). You should check it out if you haven't already...
