Sasami Mahou Shoujo Club 4

For once, the cooking club (aka mahou shoujo club) is actually doing some cooking so they can keep their cover. But instead of them eating the cake they made, Washu takes it, and along with Daimon follows Sasami home. As they leave the school a girl that seems to be rather popular with the guys sets her sights on Tsukasa. Make that Tsukasa-sama. Tsukasa doesn't remember her at all... you know, people tend to look the same, two eyes, a mouth... Makoto finds that rather amusing -- the girl turns and tells Makoto not to talk of her Tsukasa-sama in the way, calling her a hobbit. Fitting, I suppose ;) The girl tells Tsukasa her name -- Anri, nickname An'an. No reaction from Tsukasa, besides saying that her hands are sweaty. After An'an wipes her hands on her dress her Tsukasa-sama is already gone. Now she's pissed...
Washu and Daimon follow Sasami home and offer the cake to her father. Seems they've got something to discuss with him. Yup, her father is actually from the magic world, and actually a higher up in the same organization as Washu and Daimon, the kataribe ("storytellers"), humans who went with the witches when they left the human world. He (like Washu and Daimon) doesn't have any magical powers, though. Sasami is rather surprised to hear this, of course..
Sasami's mom asks her to help out with dinner, so she leaves the room. Washu tells Sasami's father about the mahou shoujo being more powerful than she anticipated. She and Daimon want him to assist them in finding a way for Sasami and the others to live peacefully. However, he says that during this time Sasami and the rest have to make it through on their own, overcoming hurt they might suffer to become adults. For now he says that Sasami will work together with them since that's what she wants to do. He adds that he's not in agreement with the leadership of the kataribe. Washu and Daimon leave... but they've forgotten something..
Ryo-Ohki is still at Sasami's so it looks like it'll be staying the night. Sasami wants to know more about the magic world from her father, but he wants to keep things as they've always been, so he says he won't say anything more about it...
Over at Anri's house, she scribbles crude drawings of Sasami and the others in her notebook, furious at them for being with her Tsukasa-sama. Though she acts very much like an ojou-sama, she shares one big room with her rather large family. After finishing drawing, she chants a spell, waking her mother in the process... as they sleep, the letters she wrote in her notebook leap out...
The next morning, Sasami's having a pretty scary dream and wakes up from it. Ryo-Ohki is jumping up and down, seeming to notice something. It holds a mirror up -- there are letters floating above Sasami's head. Usagiatama -- rabbit head (^^;;)

Sasami can't go to school like this... her mother suggests putting a hat on, so with that she's off. Sasami's friends think she's trying to change her looks a bit. Monta comes along and is quite captivated by Sasami's new look. Yes, flag, flag ;) After being teased by Sasami's friends he says it's not cute at all and tries to take Sasami's hat off, but she yells no, then runs away. Nice going there...
At school, Misao and Makoto and Tsukasa are wearing hats as well. Gonna have a party or something, Makoto-chan? ;) They go to see Washu and Daimon to ask what to do. "Hobbit-zoku" ("Hobbit") floats above Makoto's head, "Sonzaikan usui" ("weak presence", i.e. people don't notice that she's there) above Misao's. That's not the case at all Misao, especially to the ookii n(ry Definitely the work of a mahou shoujo, Daimon says. If they can find out who's responsible for it they should be able to get rid of it. No problem, Makoto knows who did it...
Sasami and the rest go to confront Anri about it. She denies responsiblity for it.. Sasami asks Tsukasa what's written above her head.. An'an x Tsukasa-sama. Anri can't handle the sight and gets a nosebleed (yes, she's quite yuriyuri). Yes, what she wrote is right there!.. oops, she said it. Checkmate, Washu says. Daimon says that if she rips up the notebook pages that she wrote the stuff on it'll disappear. Anri goes to the orz position -- what she wrote about Sasami being a rabbit head and Makoto being a hobbit is all true, so she's done nothing wrong. Anri runs away with the notebook and Sasami, Makoto, and Misao follow. Tsukasa doesn't move an inch -- too much of a bother, she says...
Sasami, Makoto, and Misao chase Anri to a pedestrian bridge over a roadway. There, Anri uses her powers to make solid letters fall on Makoto. Poor thing... Anri gets away to a playground and hides. The stuff she writes really does take form, so she can write.... Tsukasa walks up and sees "For Tsukasa-sama's use only" (oi, what kind of use?) with an arrow written below pointing to where Anri's hiding. Tsukasa asks Anri to take the stuff off from over her head. Does she not like Anri that much?... Tsukasa's head itches and she can't scratch because the letters are in the way. Oh... _| ̄|○ Tsukasa can't scratch her head... so she can't shampoo her hair either, so it'll get all sticky and.. Anri can't imagine her Tsukasa-sama being like that so she rips up the notebook, making the stuff above everybody's heads disappear. Yay! :)
Tsukasa is finally able to scratch her head. Anri asks if it feels good. Yup... how wild, Anri says. Wild? (^^;;) Well, there is one more mahou shoujo in the club now, so it's all good... as the sun sets, Anri asks her Tsukasa-sama to say her name again -- A-n-a-n. An'an. Kyaa, An'an is so happy now! Yeah, yeah, yuriyuri, we know. Sasami seems to realize something -- she's forgetting something... school. Oops... meanwhile, back at Sasami's house her mom wonders where she is while having some tea with Ryo-Ohki.
And we get yet another mahou shoujo to add to the mahou shoujo club with Anri. Geez, as if there aren't enough yuriyuri characters this season already ;) Tsukasa doesn't seem to care all that much for now, unfortunately for Anri. If someone else were to fall for Tsukasa it would make things interesting, though :) Anyways, everybody was cute this time -- I agree with Monta on Sasami's hat look -- and Anri was quite entertaining to watch so I enjoyed it. futsuu ni omoshiroi ("plain fun") sounds about right :)
Next time, Sasami and the gang seem to be going on a class trip, and there's some odd woman fighting with Washu. Who the heck could she be?
