Magical Pokan 10

Uma, Liru, Pachira, and Aiko go skiing up in the mountains. Well... Uma rides the lift up and down and up and down (typical Uma). Aiko's too heavy (300kg) to ride the lift, so the others go on without her, pretty much forgetting about her (poor Aiko...). And though Liru and Pachira say this is their first time snowboarding, it obviously isn't since they tear up the slopes with ease, even having a race -- Pachira cheats, of course. Afterwards, Liru and Pachira finally remember Aiko and go back to find her sunk in snow, building snowman with rather sad expressions. She's lost it (^^;;)

After a fun day it's time to go back to the hotel... except that nobody reserved a room. Ooops (^^;;) They go up the mountain and look for a cabin, and soon come upon a girl with her leg caught in a trap. Liru sets her free and she invites them to come to her house. Did I mention she's got an older brother? Usual reaction from everybody when they see him (^^;;) They have a dinner of watermelons, cold noodles.... isn't it winter? No electricity or anything so they're stuck with it... after eating and eating they eventually freeze and the girl and her older brother show their true selves -- they're going to eat some souls now. Only problem is that Aiko didn't eat since she's a robot and isn't frozen. The others break out as well... looks like those two got more than they bargained for there (^^;;)

The gang heads to a hot spring up on the mountain to relax. Some rather endowed girls are already enjoying themselves there, and invite everybody to come in and join them. Uma and the rest go into the changing room and strip (why was Uma > Pachira there? I thought it was the other way around...) and jump on in. And... well, they're jealous of what they see (^^;;) Pachira finds the lone hinnyuu there and makes a friend, though. Liru... well, just watch it yourself... and the girl Uma talks to can float... the girls eventually have had their share and get out of the hot spring. As they do, Uma, Pachira, Liru, and Aiko notice something.

( ゜д゜)ポカーン (poka~n)

I think y'all can figure out what they saw by looking at Uma's reaction. zou-san (this Inukami?). The gi.. uh... yeah... take everybody's clothes and leave them there, stuck in the hot spring. They can't get out since they'd freeze... but there was actually no hot spring there to begin with. The girls are actually tanukis -- they've been tricked. Yup, Uma, that's what they call being tricked by a tanuki. So now what? Wait for spring? (^^;;)

...like Uma and the rest, I was pretty much ( ゜д゜)ポカーン after the first ochi (the girls being.... yeah) in the B part, then add on the second ochi (the girls actually being tanuki) on top of that... Their reactions to seeing that were pretty hilarious -- that mosaic effect then that very peculiarly shapted rocket of some sort were rather.. yeah (^^;;) Anyways, you wanted service you got service this time. Some self-censoring going on there with Pachira (everybody seems to be doing it after that episode of Gun x Sword), then there's the usual strategically placed steam. Those people that were pressing keys over and over to try and get rid of the steam probably regretted it, hehe. Please leave it in on the DVD (^^;;)

The impact of the B part was so strong I don't really have much to say about the A part. Uma's personality came through well with her doing nothing but riding the ski lifts... not a very bright girl (^^;;) But cute :)

Keimi@Nomiko (the invisible person) did the next episode preview this time... in (heavily accented) English, attempting to be a stereotypical Western otaku, I suppose ("I like Japan. I like Japanamation", so on)... kinda got cut off there at the end, though. Is she going to be featured next time? Will we ever actually see her? ;)

(Edited June 7, 2:43AM) Checked the staff. Yup, the two guest character designers/sakkans (eromators according to Hirata-san) from episode 5 were involved. Go figure.

Maybe the invisible character is some sort of ghost princess. There is also the possibility that the invisible person is just the narrator and her continued appearance (or lack of) is just a running joke because narrators are not meant to be one of the characters but she is.

Wow, that episode was... certainly something. <3 Uma. Though I like Liru, too.
