Souta wakes up, but Akazukin and Val-sama are still asleep. It wasn't a dream, they're still there.. and now Ringo at the door making her usual morning visit. Uh-oh... Souta stalls for time as Akazukin walks down the stairs with Val-sama to go to the bathroom, but after Akazukin and Val-sama come out the game's up (^^;;)

Ringo's not exactly pleased to have a cosplay girl (Akazukin) and a huge dog (Val-sama) in the house with Souta. Akazukin and Val-sama enjoy the meat and potato stew that Ringo brought over for Souta to eat. Akazukin loves it, and Val-sama likes it so much he shouts out "Umeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!". Akazukin explains that she and Val-sama came to save Souta from those monsters, the nightmarians. Val-sama tells her that she's saying too much, though...

Meanwhile, Hansel asks Randagio, who's enjoying oden (jinkou oden!), if he's found the whereabouts of the boy with the key... And he also asks if the oden is any good.

Akazukin and Val-sama are amazed at all the things in the house -- the washing machine works without using MAGIC, the freezer is cool without using MAGIC, the TV shows stuff without using MAGIC. I thought they were going to keep quiet about things (^^;;) On the TV Akazukin and Val-sama see a shop with very nice crepes introduced and they want to have a taste, so they end up going out.

Ringo keeps Val-sama on a leash and tells him not to talk since the dogs in Tokyo don't talk -- nice tsukkomi by Val-sama saying that's the case everywhere. Akazukin tries to pay for a crepe with her own money, but of course it wouldn't be accepted in Japan. Ringo ends up paying since Souta didn't bring his wallet. After that, they have a drink at a coffee shop and Akazukin explains what's going on.

Akazukin's explanation is just as it was in the fairy tale Souta's mom told him. Ringo points out that it seems pretty dangerous for Souta to be walking around town if someone's after him as Akazukin said. Val-sama's impressed by her smarts, and so is Akazukin -- can't judge people based on how they look. She's smarter than you two who didn't realize that it's dangerous, that's for sure (^^;;)

A couple of girls come up to Val-sama, finding him very cute, and start asking him to do tricks, and soon a crowd forms around him. Very popular with the girls :) Val-sama isn't too happy though, rather annoyed. He's had enough of it when a girl touches his tail -- he stands up on two legs and puts his paws on the girl's chest, then tells her never to touch a wolf's tail ever again.. and pretends to be a dog once it's too late. He ends up on TV as the talking dog... Nice going, Val-sama (^^;;)

Hansel's in town too and sees Val-sama on the TV. Seems he's got another nightmarian to go after them... and unfortunately for Hansel, he didn't get any oden since the vending machine is broken. Oh well ;)

As Souta, Ringo, Akazukin, and Val-sama walk home the guy Hansel was talking with shows up. Akazukin's bought all the kinds of treats he likes. Akazukin tells him to buy some himself. Unfortunately, that shop is closed now... oi, not the kind of conversation to be carrying on before a battle (^^;;)

The guy transforms into a nightmarian and attacks. After the usual advertising, Akazukin throws the box with her sweets up in the air, slices it in two, then she and Val-sama eat what's inside in one gulp. No time to be eating, guys (^^;;) Another nightmarian joins the attack, but blue snow starts falling... it's Shirayuki-hime, another one of the Three Musketeers. She's apparently the type that likes to dress up, and loves the clothes in Erde. She can't buy stuff with Erde money, though... but Ringo'll buy it for her, Akazukin says. With that settled, it's time to get rid of the monsters, who were nice enough to wait until they were finished talking (^^;;) After some more advertising, Shirayuki-hime uses a spell to freeze the nightmarians, then another to build a bridge up so Akazukin, riding Val-sama, can finish them off, and that's the end of them.

Shirayuki-hime's going to be staying with Souta now. Ringo's not happy that Souta's harem is growing yet another odd person is staying with Souta. Shirayuki-hime, cuddling up to Souta, says her job is to protect Souta so she can't leave him. Akazukin gets close to him as well... Akazukin then says she's hungry, then.. Ringo's had enough of it.

KNEG? Really, it's too early in the morning to be showing a harem show. Souta, you lucky guy ;) Anyways, a really fun episode with plenty of laughs to be had, even during the not very tense battle. The bad guys need to be a bit badder and not wait on people to finish conversations ;) I thought Val-sama would be a bit more serious, but it turns out that he's just as much an idiot as Akazukin, maybe even moreso. That "umeeeeee!" bit, then him getting mad at the girl for touching his tail were hilarious. He and Akazukin make a great comedy duo :) Hansel was pretty funny, too, seemingly pretty disappointed that that oden vending machine was broken.

So we've got two of the Three Musketeers together with Shirayuki-hime showing up this time -- she really does make me think of Pepper from A Little Snow Fairy Sugar, though I still like Akazukin and Ringo more than her. Wonder when Ibara-hime will show up and Souta's harem will grow again...

Next time, Hansel's sister, Gretel's going to show up as a mysterious transfer student? (Haruhi would love it). She looks pretty cute, but we'll have to see what kind of character she turns out to be.. probably a brother-con, right? ;)

Akazukin is pretty much the cutest thing ever. Well, everyone is, but... she's the win for me. They're supposed to be 14, though? Yow.
