Sasami Mahou Shoujo Club 12
July 9, 2006, 2:53PM: Guess what? Looks like there's a second season of Sasami Mahou Shoujo Club coming in the fall! :) Thanks to Ami-chan for the info.
Misao slips a note into Monta's box, locating it with Sasami's help (she apparently knows Monta's scent...). Monta finds the note and one of his friends promptly takes it from him, thinking it a love letter, and reads -- come to the park on Saturday. After practicing with the mahou shoujo club for the upcoming tournament (using pictures of Itoki as targets), Misao and Sasami head home. Misao wants to have all of this out of the way before they go to the witches' world on Sunday. Sasami asks her why she's telling Monta that she's a mahou shoujo -- Misao can't answer that (we all know why, though), but Sasami's still going to do what she can to help since they are friends.
Saturday comes and Misao heads to Sasami's house... though earlier than she was supposed to be there. Misao and Sasami decide to go practice their magic (taking Ryo-Ohki along) until it's time to go meet Monta. However, when they arrive at the mahou shoujo club everybody's already there and ready to leave. Seems there was a mistake on the flyer for the tournament -- it's actually that day. Everybody boards the train (in costume) to head to the witches' world, but at the last moment Misao runs out. Sasami gets permission from Washu to go and get Misao, so she gets off at the next stop, then jumps the gate since she lost her ticket, and then finds a vacuum cleaner to use as a broomstick to fly off to find Misao... Meanwhile, Misao meets Monta at the park....
The mahou shoujo club arrives in the witches' world, but there's a bit of a problem -- they can't participate without their whole team there. Washu gets Itoki to give them a pass in exchange for some dates with Daimon. Poor Daimon... (^^;;) But Sasami and Misao will still have to get back before the group competition later in the day. The girls aren't exactly doing all that well -- Makoto crashes on her broomstick, Tsukasa-sama has a ball get away from her, and Anri's completely off target..
Misao has a hard time saying what she wants to say to Monta, and Monta's getting impatient since he's still got deliveries to do. Misao starts crying and apologizes... her magic powers start to activate, and those worm-like things start appearing. Sasami comes flying in on the vacuum just a bit later and Misao runs away... yup, it's magic. Sasami tells Monta not to be surprised, then goes off to look for Misao.. Misao is right there hiding in the bushes...
Misao and Monta sit down on a bench -- Monta hates her now, doesn't he... Monta says he doesn't know what the heck is going on, but it's no big deal. Sasami returns with Ryo-Ohki, and seeing Misao crying she thinks Monta did something -- nope, Misao's happy, that's all. As usual, Monta blushes when Sasami looks at him. Misao asks if he'll meet with her another time so she can properly explain what all is going on, and he says yes. Sasami and Misao leave him... Monta was quite surprised by all of this, of course, but since Sasami told him not to be surprised he couldn't be that way in front of her -- but she's not around anymore so he lets it out.
Back in the witches' world it's lunchtime. Washu notices Sasami's dad next to a tree, but the next moment he's gone.. what could he be doing there?
Sasami and Misao are at the train station... they've been in a situation like this before when they wanted to go to the witches' world... oh... they don't know the password for the train to take them to the witches' world (^^;;) Ryo-Ohki seems to have an idea, and it runs off with Sasami and Misao following.. the group competition is about to start.... are they going to make it in time?
So Misao was able to tell Monta who she is, though with Sasami's help, but good for her. Sasami really is a good girl for helping Misao out, even though Misao wouldn't tell her everything -- seems Sasami's not quite smart enough to realize that Misao likes Monta, and also that Monta likes her ;)
Only one episode left (this season) and there's quite a few questions left to be answered. What's Sasami's father doing? Does he know something about Ami-chan? What about the other stuff going on in the kataribe?.. Seems like a bit too much to wrap up in one episode, but We'll see what answers we get as we finish up the first season (see announcement at the top). Animation this time wasn't too bad, and next time it looks like it'll be even better to finish things off for now. It's been fun so far, and hopefully we'll see a nice wrap-up for now, then we'll just have to wait until it starts again in the fall.
Don't expect a full resolution, looks like there will be a second season this fall:
