Zero no Tsukaima 4

A noble visits Osman to warn him of a thief, Hooke, a rather powerful mage that's been stealing treasures from nobles recently. Hooke might eventually come for the "Staff of Destruction" that's stored in the school's vault...
Saito washes clothes as usual, rather frustrated since he can't do it right. Siesta comes along and shows him how to wash silk correctly. She also thanks him for showing that a commoner can stand up to a nobel, then says good night... on the way back to the room Kirche's waiting for Saito, offering him the fancy sword she bought, along with an old book and jewelry and such, but he refuses lest Louise find that h... and she does find him with Kirche again. Out comes the whip (^^;;)
The next day when Saito goes to eat in the kitchen Siesta's not there. She quit to go serve another noble.. Guiche is busy trying to get Montmorency back after she found out he was two-timing her, when Saito comes with a question for him.. Saito's not around at lunch -- Guiche tells Louise and Kirche that Saito asked where Count Mott's mansion was and left.
Saito goes to Count Mott's mansion to ask him to release Siesta, but of course he's not going to listen to some commoner's wishes. Saito says he'll do anything for it -- Count Mott requests that Saito find a book for him. The book suddenly showed up when a mage was using summon magic, and apparently it's been passed down in Kirche's family...
Louise warns Saito that he's dealing with someone even more powerful than Guiche, so he should be careful, but Saito feels bad for Siesta so he can't give up. After Louise goes to bed he goes to Kirche to ask for that book. Kirche tries to seduce him again, but Saito gets mad and leaves. He takes only the sword and rides a horse to Count Mott's mansion.
Saito gets caught by guards and brought inside. He draws his sword in front of Count Mott... thankfully, Louise, Kirche, and Tabitha arrive just in time so he doesn't get seriously hurt by the count's magic. Kirche gives the count the book he wanted -- he opens the lock, and... it's an eromanga from Earth (^^;;)
After arriving back at the school, Siesta thanks Saito and gives him a kiss. Thankfully, Louise wasn't around to see it. Louise is thinking of what punishment she should give him for doing something so reckless -- perhaps a good whipping, or taking away food, or...
Just imagine how much worse his punishment would've been if she saw Siesta kiss him (^^;;) Actually, if they do that part from volume two you'll see what harsh punishment is...
It's somewhat early to do a completely original episode, and they way this one was done was somewhat disappointing. Not so much the content itself which was just okay, more that it doesn't feel like it could be part of the novel. Saito's an idiot, especially when he's talking to Louise, but he's not so much of an idiot to recklessly challenge a noble. And anyways, when he drew Kirche's sword his.... I can't say that since they haven't mentioned that yet. But thinking about should happen when he uses that sword again later, I suppose it's okay, since... well, I can't say that either (^^;;) And using the eromanga this time to show that things from Earth are in this world also diminishes the impact that s.... I can't say that either (^^;;)
Anyways, as someone who's read the novels it worries me a bit, and the next episode preview reinforced that. Henrietta isn't introduced until volume 2, but she's going to be showing up next time. Hooke the theif is going to be showing up as well... it would seem they're changing the structure a good bit to try and fit the novel material and then the anime original material into 13 episodes. Hopefully things will come together a bit better later on as they did in the episodes up until now... Well, at the least I can wait for Louise to go dere and enjoy that :)

Yoy yoy...
If Louise DID see it, he'd be more than screwed over.
If Louise HAD seen Siesta kiss him... well, on the one hand, Louise has pretty much given her familiar free rein with regards to girls, as long as they're not Kirche. On the other hand, she'd probably whip him within an inch of his life anyways.
Still, it could be worse - he could've ended up having to take the book instead of the sword, which would've meant doing ANYTHING Kirche wanted, which would've gotten Louise to kill him first, then ask questions later.
