Friday Notes (August 11)...
Good Friday morning to everybody. At work a bit early today, so the blogging for what I posted last night will have to wait 'til I get home ;) Anyways, some news that y'all will like first.
Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha 3rd Season (via MOON PHASE, Puzzlize Nikki, Nanatsukidou)

Instead of the rumored OVA we get a new season. Coming in 2007, the title for this season is Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS as you can see from the photo above of a clear file that was being given at the Nanoha booth at Comiket -- appropriate title considering. Now, the question is what setting will they use? Are they going to use older Nanoha, Fate, and Hayate that we saw at the end of A's? I'd prefer maybe 2 or 3 years down the line instead of 6, but we'll see. Anyways, I'm happy :)
Hidamari Sketch Site Open
Story summary and 4-koma manga up. I've read good reviews of the Hidamari Sketch manga, so I'd like to read it before the anime starts... see how much books this semester cost and we'll see if I can buy manga.. got to pay off my new laptop, too (^^;;)

A couple more scans about Negima!? from recent magazines for y'all here:
Sounds like cards and battling will be prominent in Negima!?, fitting for its afternoon timeslot. The cards (check the background of the second scan) are a bit different than the Pactio cards in the manga, and there are multiple cards for each character. The cards with SD characters are apparently called "Friendship Cards".
Looking at all the information out recently, it looks like they're going to go mostly original for Negima?!. If so it's rather disappointing, but I'll try and watch it as something different from the manga and hope SHAFT can bring us something entertaining as they did with Paniponi :) Anyways, to really do justice to the manga you'd need to go 52+ episodes..... btw, volume 15 (included with DVD digest of the Spring OVA) is out next week (though some shops are apparently selling it now) and the full Spring OVA will be out October 25.
I had to pull out 5 sources to make absolutely sure that a 3rd season was definitely happening. Did NOT want to pull another Haruhi. I think we all learned a hard lesson from that ordeal :+
The lesson there is to not infer something based on a cover that doesn't clearly have an announcement, to always check and verify with other sources, then to clearly mark it as an unverified rumor if you can't find other sources but decide to post anyways ;)

Took them quite some time before the release offical news of 3rd season's Nanoha ... there's was so many rumors and so hard to verify ...
but .. YAY ... its finnaly true
Negima + card battling = Ne-Gi-Oh?
Quite looking forward to more Nanoha, it may be a vain hope but I'd like Signum, Zafira and the others to get a bit more development.
It's great to know that there's a sequel for Nanoha coming but... isn't the cast of good guys getting a little large?
Yes it is, but there can be an equally large bad guy group too. I'd be fine with seeing adult Nanoha and Fate battling against loli bad guys doing something bad for a good reason for them. That tends to be how it goes with Nanoha. <3
Since the cast is so large, maybe the 3rd series will be as large as Fate: Stay Night was. 13 eps doesn't seem like enough anymore.
From the looks of the promotional poster I saw on AniDB, Nanoha and Co. aren't much older... at least not mid-school age. That could be false advertising, of course...
