Fushigiboshi no Futago Hime Gyu! 19

Fine and Rein are so happy about finally going back home to the Fushigiboshi that they're literally bouncing off the walls -- bouncing around and running smack into Carla and Shasha (sure can carry a lot of stuff, those two) at the bottom of the stairs. Seems Elizabert hadn't decided where to go over break, but the Fushigiboshi sounds good now. She looks into that mirror -- Edward appears, actually showing himself this time, and says the usual line to possess Elizabert.
As usual, Fine and Rein are running behind getting to the train. While running there, they notice Fango's still at the school -- he doesn't seem to be going back home over break. Fine and Rein drag him along to the train station and they manage to get on at the last minute. Elizabert's onboard as well, and asks Fine and Rein to take Carla and Shasha's place. Fine and Rein do the "muri" (that's impossible) dance. Yup, that's right in many different ways, as Altessa said (^^;;)
The train finally arrives at the station on the Fushigiboshi. There, Altessa's parents along with all of the other royal families (save for Fine and Rein's parents) are waiting. Hold on here -- didn't Miruro and Tio and the Seed Kingdom princesses leave last week? Well, I got to see Miruro so that's fine... I guess ;) Anyways, Fine and Rein get on their airship and head back home to the Sun Kingdom, making the usual rough landing. Fine and Rein jump into their mother's arms. Toluse says it must've been rough for Pumo. Yup, certainly was (^^;;) Camelot's rather surprised to see Elizabert and Fango there -- she tells Toluse that Fango's known for being a rough character at school, but he still welcomes Fango and tells him to make himself at home... Edward (inside Elizabert) doesn't like this kind familiy at all...
Fine and Rein, now wearing very cute outfits, talk to their parents about what's been going on. They give Elza a souvenir -- two pretty rocks, that's all. Elza thanks them for it. She's kept all of the little things Fine and Rein have given her and put them on a necklace, which she takes out of a box and shows to them -- the first thing they gave her is there, what they gave her when they went to beach, it's all there. It's a treasure to Elza.

Fine and Rein show Elizabert to her room -- too plain for her tastes, of course (^^;;) After Fine and Rein leave, thinking of more things they could give to their mom, Edward takes over Elizabert -- he doesn't like Fine and Rein's loving family... Elizabert goes to Elza's room, finds the necklace, and throws it out the window. Fango sees it fall into a ship carrying garbage below. Fine and Rein run to the room after hearing something and find it a mess -- Elizabert's rather surprised to see it, too. Fine and Rein ask her to help, so she presses a button and the room gets a whole lot more fancy. Normal is fine, really (^^;;) Fango comes and tells Fine and Rein he saw the necklace fall into that garbage ship.
Everybody boards the airship, and they set out for the Flame Kingdom where the garbage incinerator facility is (appropriately). Elizabert doesn't understand why they're doing this for such a plain necklace -- she'll give them a better one, whatever they want. Fango tells her to keep quiet...
Making the usual crash landing, they arrive at the facility. Edward, now in butterfly form, leaves Elizabert while she's out. The guard at the facility won't let them in, though. Fango comes up with a trash can, saying he's got trash to throw away -- and he puts in the guard in it. That works. Inside, Fine spots the necklace with that "wild instinct" of hers, but before they can get to it Edward lets loose monsters, so it's time for Fine and Rein to do their thing... and unlike most weeks, there's interesting stuff this time so I won't end with the usual ;) Fine and Rein attack the monsters with the pararira and such, but Rein falls down. Right before a flying refrigerator monster hits Fango jumps in and gives it a good whack with a pipe, telling Fine and Rein to go ahead while he takes care of things here. And dang, he's strong... Fine and Rein follow the conveyor belt to a room where the garbage falls into magma below, but Edward lets loose a magma monster now. Fine and Rein ask for their mother's precious thing to be protected, getting rid of the monster.... but they watch in silence as the necklace falls into the magma....
Fine and Rein go back outside where their parents are waiting, just about to cry since they couldn't save their mother's necklace. Elza's happy though -- what's really precious to her was protected. Fine and Rein's magic protected them during the battle with the magma monster. Elza embraces Fine and Rein as they cry... Toluse thanks Fango for protecting Fine and Rein. Fango takes a coin with a "G" on it out of his pocket... And while all of that was going on, Elizabert was having tea, and now wants seconds from Pumo..
That's Beta-sama for you (^^;;) She looked quite menancing as evil Elizabert, but it's unfortunate that it was Edward instead of her speaking then. Would've liked to hear her then ;) She was a lot cuter than usual this time -- everybody was cuter than usual due to the style and quality of animation being so high this time. If only every episode were like this, but oh well ;)
A really nice job with everything this time, especially the battle. Usually it's something you could skip, but this time Fango got in the mix and looked quite cool, there was a good sense of tension throughout, and most importantly, it didn't go perfectly for Fine and Rein since they couldn't save their mother's necklace. Even so, that necklace isn't much compared to how much Elza cares for Fine and Rein... that scene's enough to make me cry with Fine and Rein there ;) Fango should gain a lot more popularity after this time with everything he did. Very cool standing up and protecting Fine and Rein there. It seems he just needs to be trusted a bit more by everyone, since he is a really good guy. No flags going up between him and Elizabert this time, but we'll see ;)
Thanks to Tamagawa-san, storyboard and episode director this time, for another well done episode. He wrote a bit about on his blog -- apparently that last line by Elizabert was an adlib. Worked quite well :) He also tried to sync up the changing of scenes in the battle with the music, and that worked pretty well, too. Unfortunately, Tamagawa-san wrote in his blog today that this is the last Futago Hime episode that he'll will be involved with. I really enjoyed all of the episodes he's done, so it's sad to see him leave, but I'll be sure to look for him in whatever he does next. Thanks for all the hard work, and thanks for giving us a bit of the story behind the scenes on the blog, too :)
Next time:

Bright and Sophie are getting married!? What!? Sounds like it could be pretty crazy stuff :)
