Fine and Rein and the rest arrive back on the Royal Wonder Planet for the coming term of school. Elizabert's got quite a lot of luggage (what the heck could be in it?) that Fango kicks down from the train. More flags up for those two again ;) Everybody else is back from summer break, too -- Lemon practiced her tsukkomi technique, and Noche was in his father's orchestra.. not playing, carrying stuff around ... and Chiffon won lots of awards. There's one thing Fine and Rein have completely forgotten about, though -- homework. Go figure.... If they don't turn in their homework before tomorrow it'll be -10 points, bringing them down to -37 points.. Out of nowhere, March shakes Fine and Rein's hands -- it was a boring summer for her, not being able to give out penalty cards, but now that Fine and Rein are back she's got her -10 card ready to go. Too enthusiastic there, March, really (^^;;) Chiffon will do what she can to help Fine and Rein get their homework done.
While Fine and Rein carry stacks of books along with Chiffon and Noche, they ask if they could just copy Chiffon's homework. -1 cards come flying and pierce the wall behind -- sharp cards there (^^;;) -- copy homework and they'll lose points, March says. Fine and Rein run ahead and Chiffon follows, leaving Noche behind. Edward, in usual butterfly form, comes along and does the "When our eyes met" thing and takes control of Noche. He'll see that Fine and Rein are expelled... In the library, after Fine and Rein have overheated from trying to comprehend their homework, evil Noche suggests copying Chiffon's work, but it doesn't work since more sharp -1 cards come flying. March seems to be rather trigger-happy today (^^;;)
Since his plan didn't work at all with Noche, Edward takes aim at Solo next. Solo suggests going out to the garden for a change of mood, and there he makes Fine and Rein trip and fall into the roses. March has her -1 card ready -- but it doesn't work as planned since Creyson is such a nice guy and covers for Fine and Rein. Even though they've still got a lot more homework to do, Fine and Rein want to help Creyson with the garden since they messed it up. Finished with Solo, Edward leaves him... Solo has no idea what's been going on -- Bright and Shade notice this, and think that whatever had controlled Toma must've done it.... Edward next flies toward the statue of Unchiku the philospher...
Fine and Rein spent the rest of the day help Creyson in the garden, so they're rather tired and fall right to sleep with homework still left...
While Chiffon sleeps, that statue of Unchiku comes into her room and awakens her. Chiffon is extremely excited to see her favorite philospher there -- fushigi fushigi fushigi and such. The Unchiku statue says that he wants to make Chiffon his apprentice, so he has something to tell her about those lazy sloths, Fine and Rein. Certainly are lazy... At this rate Fine and Rein will be expelled, so Chiffon has to do something to make them realize that they can't keep on losing points -- "True friendship is in demerits!". Chiffon hasn't heard that saying before, but she accepts a stack of -1 cards from the statue and says she'll do it.
Chiffon wakes up the next morning, thinking it a dream, but the stack of -1 cards is still there. She goes to Fine and Rein's room and gets them to come out, putting a -1 card on their faces. Even though they're not late or anything, apparently there's a rule about the time you're supposed to wake up and they're 3 minutes late. March didn't even know of that rule. To make up for all the times they've done it before, they end up at -57 points.. orz
During the day, Fine and Rein, Noche, Shade, and Bright notice Chiffon talking to the statue of Unchiku... Chiffon doubts if what she's doing is right. Unchiku questions her friendship, then rattles off some more sayings -- basically, no matter what, Fine and Rein have to be expelled. Of course Chiffon can't go along with that. The statues rises into the air.. time for Fine and Rein to do their thing. They drive Edward out of the statue, but he sends out a bird that picks up Chiffon. But a part of Chiffon's clothes rip in midair and she starts falling to the ground. Fine and Rein manage to bring her down safely due to the .001 second rule, though ;)
Chiffon apologizes to Fine and Rein for what she did, but Fine and Rein hug Chiffon and thank her for thinking of them -- they're not angry since they're friends after all. Chiffon starts crying... if things ended here it'd be a nice story, but... Fine and Rein start patting the statue, joking about what a mess it's caused, and it breaks. Ooops... March brings out her -10 cards -- it's -50 points for breaking the statue, bringing their total to -107 points -- they're out.
How are Fine and Rein going to get out of this one? They really did it this time (^^;;) Anyways, though it was too bad that summer on the Fushigiboshi ended so quickly, it's nice to be back at the school and see everybody again. March was too excited about giving out the - cards, really. Takes somebody to have fun enforcing rules, but whatever. The star this time was definitely Chiffon. She was too cute in that scene where the Unchiku statue visited her. Animation this time certainly helped her and everybody else look very cute -- animation director was Mariko Kawamoto. Very round eyes give it away. Back on topic, the music in that scene fit too good, too. Anyways, shows that even genuises like Chiffon mess up sometimes, and she's only six anyways. Now it seems she's realized what friendship is, so good for her :)
Bit of a different plan from Edward this time, getting out of people once he's realized that nothing will come of it, and indirectly going after Chiffon. I really thought Chiffon was going to go evil (and was looking forward to it), but oh well... perhaps later? ;) Shade and Bright have realized what's going on, so Edward probably won't have too much longer to do his not exactly very evil deeds.
Next time, Fine and Rein try to gain points to keep from being expelled. Seems some old lady is going to be possessed by Edward.. not as interesting as Sophie or Leonne being possessed, but we'll see.
