Innocent Venus 3

Jo takes on the military powered suit unit in the Gladiator while Jin drives away with Sana, leaving Gora behind. It's not a fair fight at all, as Jo easily destroys both man and robot in the Gladiator. Jin and Sana don't get too far away before another shot from the Wakou submarine blows out the road ahead. A helicopter picks up the truck and brings it aboard the Wakou ship.

Meanwhile... some military people look at video of a test of the Gladiator. Seems it's too much for a normal person to handle -- only those "monsters" in Phantom seem to be able to control it. But the research on it must go forward...

Gora somehow managed to get through all of that without getting hurt.. he looks at Jo, now getting out of the Gladiator -- a tear comes down Jo's face. The helicoper carrying the truck Jin and Sana are in lands on the Wakou ship, and the ship dives below the surface. Jo picks up Gora and demands to know where the ship is headed..

Onboard the Wakou sub, Jin and Sana are taken by armed men to see their leader, pointing guns right to Sana's face to get them to move it. A rather strong-looking woman, Hijin, tells them not to be so rough and apologizes to Jin and Sana. Hijin takes Sana and Jin to the leader of Wakou, Toraji, very much looking like your typical pirate ;) Sana hides behind Jin... seems Gora was useful for Hijin this time, telling about him the Gladiator suits that Jin and Jo had. Jin notices that the ship they're on is new, definitely from the military.. After Jin and Sana sit down, Toraji offers Sana some chocolate -- extremely cute reaction from Sana -- but she shakes her head and doesn't take one. Jin eats one and says it's okay, so Sana takes one -- too cute, really :) Anyways... since Jin had stuff like the Gladiator suit, Toraji thinks he must've been in Phantom...

Renee reports to Drake about the sighting of the Gladiator suits that Jin and Jo had, and that a girl was with them... Meanwhile, with the Phantom guys.. Chinran does some kind of fortune telling with his cards and the moon card comes up -- ship, anxiety, and finally betrayal are its meanings. And what do you know, a phone call comes in from Renee about traitors from Phantom.

Back on the Wakou ship, Kouji takes a nice long look at Jin. Sana tells him it's rude, making a very Yurie-sama like face ;) Kouji tells Hijin to take Sana out so he and Jin can talk a bit... Toraji asks Jin where he got Sana from... Out in the hall, Sana asks Hijin about Jin. No worries, Toraji's not a bad guy, just a bit odd, Hijin says... Seems Jin isn't talking, so Toraji comes out and asks Sana to talk with him...

Meanwhile, Jo, in the Gladiator suit, carries Gora by the neck, demanding Gora tell him where the ship went. Gora seems a bit sick and after Jo drops him to the ground he heaves.. ick... Jo picks him back up and demands to know which way to go again...

Sana keeps her distance from Toraji, telling him that if he does anything she'll scream. He's not into that, he says. He just wants her to tell him one thing -- she was on that airplane, wasn't she?

Flashback -- an airplane is under attack by fighter jets. Sana is onboard, with MIB beside her. Men in powered suits drop down to the airplane from above and make their way in.... How many of you thought of Samus's power suit in Metroid when you saw that? ;) They take out the MIB, but one of them in a white suit points a gun at another and shoots right though his visor.. ick.. Sana screams. The guy in the white suit puts his hand on Sana's face -- it's Jin -- he tells her that it's all okay now and that they're there to rescue her....

Back to the present, Drake gives orders to Phantom -- their target is "Venus", Sana. What about the two that escaped from Phantom? Get rid of them... Meanwhile, Gora and Joe finally see the island where the Wakou ship is supposed to be...

So now we know how Sana came to be with Jin and Joe, and that Jin and Jo ran away from Phantom.. though I already knew that Jin and Jo were originally in Phantom since their character profiles on the site said so (^^;;) But anyways... though we finally understand where things got started from, there's still a lot unexplained -- why does Jo cry after he uses the Gladiator? Why is Sana called "Venus"?... Actually, I accidentally found out part of why Sana is "Venus" from reading an interview with the director that's on the show's website. Oops (^^;;)

Anyways, Sana kawaii yo Sana! I absolutely love how her expressions keep on changing -- that scene where Toraji offered her the chocolate was too cute. Like I mentioned before, even if the story isn't making too much sense to me, I can keep on watching just to see stuff like that ;) Gora's pretty amusing as well -- seems he'll be the comic relief character.. Toraji and Hijin seem pretty nice for pirates, but we'll have to see what Toraji's motive for taking Jin and Sana is.. he seems to know a lot of what went on.

Next time, it seems things could get interesting with Jo and Jin up against their former comrades in Phantom. I'll be hoping for more Sana cuteness ;)
