Sunday Notes (October 1)...

It's already October? Time flies by too fast (How many times have I said that recently?). I'm feeling a lot better than I was earlier in the week, good enough to probably get back into the blogging routine later on today or tomorrow with some quick entries to try and cover some of the backlog here... but we'll see how much of that I can get done before the rush of new shows (^^;;)

I've been keeping myself busy today watching college football -- Dawgs beat Ole Miss tonight, so that's part of why I'm in a better mood -- and doing a bit of remodeling here in my room, getting rid of the bunk bed with only one bed on top and lots of my mom's stuff stuffed under it giving me absolutely no room to put anything of my own. Much, much better now. I've got a place on my dresser with all of my Futago Hime-related figures and such now, too :) Now to paint so that the walls is all white instead of... 1/2 of one wall and about 7/8 of another wall is white, the rest is green. My dad never finished the job (^^;;) btw, my camera is FINALLY going to be fixed/replaced, so I'll be able to take pics of all the stuff I've gotten since it broke and post 'em in a week or so.

Anyways, I'm going to try and sleep a bit better tonight so I can be ready to go later on, but just a bit of news first.

2nd Season of Kiddy Grade? (via MOON PHASE)
MOON PHASE reports that during episode 35 of Haruhi SOS Dan Radio that Aya Hirano said that a second season of Kiddy Grade is in the works and that it will focus on what happens to Eclaire and Lumiere after the events of the first season. I've been waiting to see what gimik (Keiji Gotou, Megumi Kadonosono, Hidefumi Kimura) would be doing next after doing Uta~Kata with HAL Film Maker a couple of years ago since I did enjoy watching both that and Kiddy Grade, so I'll be keeping an eye on this one.

Romeo & Juliet... Gonzo-style (via MOON PHASE)
Continuing from Gankutsuou, Gonzo is going to be bringing us their interpretation of Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet. In the staff I see Jun'ichi Satou listed as supervisor :)

Romeo and Juliet? So overdone. I'd rather see Twelfth Night by Gonzo.

If that actually happens a second season of Kiddy Grade would be pretty sweet o_O;;

More Kiddy Grade is always good, but whoa, Romeo and Juliet - Anime style??
I wonder if English classes will be able to consider this "alternate" version?
Likely not though, ^^"

Considering their track record with SAMURAI 7 and Gankutsuou, I'm expecting it to be Romeo and Juliet... IN SPACE!!!

Wouldn't, say, Macbeth be a better fit for GONZO, with the witches and ghosts and horror aspects? Lots of bloody murders too. Still, I'll probably be looking forward to this. It'll be interesting to see how the different characters are treated.

Wow. A sequel to Kiddy Grade. The first series was OK. It had great potential, then the final third of the anime got lost in a forest of plot twists just to have plot twists. I'll check out the 2nd series in the hopes the writers do a better job.

I'm cautiously excited, however I've not seen any mention of it on Gotoh's blog and it wouldn't be the same without gĂmik being involved.
