Monday Notes (November 6)...

Hard to believe it's already November. It's really starting to fell like fall has come around here -- it's cooling down, leaves have changed colors and look really nice... and the cloudy cold days with rain and an east wind like it'll probably be tomorrow are back. Oh well... My weekend went pretty well, except for us (UGA's football team) getting beat by Kentucky 24-20 and all. 4 losses in our past five games, and with Auburn and Georgia Tech coming up we'll probably end up 6-6 ＿|￣|○ There's always next year...

Anyways, forgot to post about this last week, but the Sunday before Halloween I was trying to be photographer (parents don't know how to work the digital camera) at the fall festival we put on at a mobile home park nearby. A few shots from it:

  

Think I took about 100 photos and only a few of those came out blurry, which is definitely better than usual for me. Japanese even came in handy with the one girl that had on the shirt with various random Japanese phrases (that mostly made sense!) on it there. Anyways, it was tiring to keep up with the kids running all over the place, but it was fun :)

Don't think there's anything else of note happening with me for now, so onto the news.

Futago Hime in Korea and Taiwan (Futago Hime Official Site)
Fushigiboshi no Futago Hime is now on air in Korea on Tooniverse as 신비한별의쌍둥이공주 (shinbi hanbyal ui ssangdung'i kongju). It will start in Taiwan in December on YOYO TV. If I could find some way to watch the Korean dub of it it'd be helpful since I don't have much to watch in Korean.

Aya Hirano Hospitalized (Aya Hirano Official Website, hat tip to BRAINSTORM)
Due to a sudden illness, Aya Hirano had to be hospitalized and cancel a talk and mini-live that was to be held yesterday at Waseda University. お大事に. Get well soon! :)

I don't think it's a good sign when the home page of official site for the show is a page about investing in producing the show (^^;;) Then people who had no connection with the show at all are listed as being animation directors on the staff page... oh, now it's fixed.. Then there's the quality of ACC Production's previous work (from MUSASHI)... This might be fun to watch in a different kind of way. It starts on BS-i on November 19 at 9:30 and will run for 24 episodes.

Here on the left side.... I certainly do like the date November 11th, but not because of PS3 ;) Anyways, these are better than that weirdo ps3 baby ad they showed in the US... I don't get it (^^;;) In comparison, here are Japanese TV commercials for the Wii.
