I won't bother to really summarize since this is the last ep and I'm sure all of y'all that watched know what went on :) So read the extended entry for my thoughts on this last ep and the series in general.

Kippei's down.. but that letter from Yuzu cheers him up a bit and gives him an idea... Kokoro's still feeling depressed as well. And the reason Kokoro's so sad is... those roses her father was cutting were ones that Kokoro and her mother planted together. We see some scenes from Kokoro's childhood before and after her mother died. Poor thing...
At the preschool Marika teaches Yuzu a little charm you say with a mirror that's supposed to make you happy. When Yuzu leaves she gives Marika-chan a hug. Awwww, how sweet :)
Back home, Yuzu teaches Kippei that charm and Kippei leaves to see Kokoro. So they talk things over a bit... And Kokoro tells Kippei why she feel in love with him... So they're back together (again) and everything's good.. hopefully :) Next time looks to be more a Yuzu episode.

Apologies to all the Kokoro fans for all the Marika-chan screencaps ;) Anyways....
Kippei makes a bentou for Kokoro to make up for not talking to her over the summer and Kokoro happily accepts it. Ain't that sweet of Kippei? One smart thing he's done. But then he talks about how Kokoro would make a good wife... and he says they might have a beautiful kid together. One not quite so smart thing to say. So things are looking good for Kokoro and Kippei. At least they are until Kokoro gets a phone call...
Back at the preschool... Marika-chan got some new socks and is showing them off (as usual). But another girl kicks a ball her way and her brand new socks get dirty... Later on the class writes a letter to somebody special and that girl from earlier sits down with Yuzuyu. And we find out that she doesn't really like Marika-chan.. She brags a lot, she's quick to interrupt.. and socks and ribbons don't look good on her. Marika-chan overheard that and gets pretty pissed off and calls that girl an idiot and runs outside.. Yuzu runs outside and there Marika-chan is crying.. poor thing. Who is Marika-chan's special person she wrote a letter to? She wrote a letter to Yuzuyu.. awwwww, how sweet. Even Marika-chan can be nice sometimes :)
Kippei still can't figure out what's wrong with Kokoro. On her way home Kokoro goes by her house and sees her father outside cutting roses and gets rather mad. I wonder why... Seems things aren't going too well with him. After taking Yuzuyu home Kippei goes to Kokoro's apartment, but she's not there. As he goes out Kokoro comes in and says that she "doesn't want to get any closer to him"... so things have cooled off yet again. And they were looking so good earlier.. oh well. Well, we've got 3 episodes left to tie things up :)

Kippei's got a cold so Satsuki has to take care of Yuzu. Yuzu isn't very pleased with it and Satsuki doesn't much care for it either. While on the way to school they run into a girl in Satsuki's class -- a model who Yuzu saw on a billboard -- that likes Satsuki, but she hasn't told him yet. Satsuki tells her to tell the sensei that he'll be late, and when Satsuki comes to school after taking Yuzu to the preschool he thanks her for doing it. And since she's totally in love with Satsuki, she takes it to mean a bit too much, and goes to talk with some friends about it. Friends say that Satsuki doesn't like tall girls, or girls that model and that has her depressed (how mean!). But, she's still looking forward to working together with Satsuki doing classroom stuff... but a modeling thing comes up and she comes in late... She asks Satsuki about the things her friends said, and Satsuki responds with the usual "I don't mind". C'mon, Satsuki, a cute girl likes you, say something more than that! ;) While Satsuki and Yuzu play in the sandbox at the park, the girl reads what Satsuki wrote in the class diary for the day and goes to see him. And does the big dramatic kokuhaku thing. And what does Satsuki say? The usual... geez..
Anyways.. Marika-chan showed up this time. Been a while :) While at the park with Satsuki and the model girl and Yuzu, Kippei comes, cured of his cold. And Yuzu runs into Kippei's arms. Marika-chan's so cute when she gets mad ;)

It's the end of summer.. and Kippei hasn't called Kokoro even once. Uh-oh.. but, she still lets him kiss her. No PDA (Personal Displays of Affection) at school! ;) But there's another guy out therethat likes Kokoro now.. an artist type, so Kippei better get with it!
There's a fuss at home as Kippei's onee-sama doesn't like cockroaches very much, so she has him kill it dead ;) Poor Yuzu was frightened by it, too. After that, Miki unexpectedly shows up to get her stuff. She seems to be in much better spirits now and getting along with her parents again. As she walks with Kippei and Yuzu to the train station, while Kippei takes Yuzu to the bathroom, Miki sees Kokoro and follows her. Kokoro runs into the guy from earlier, and declines to model for him. He confesses to her, but Kokoro firmly rejects him, and when he asks if she's got someone that she likes she tells him straight that it's Kippei. Miki and Kokoro kinda run into each other after that and Miki looks to have gotten over whatever it was she was thinking about Kokoro and Kippei.
So everything's happy now, it seems. See what's in store for Kokoro and Kippei next time. And from the preview it looks like Marika-chan'll be in it, too. Wai~ ;)

Miki takes Yuzu back to her house, but her parents are there with relatives and Miki is convinced that she doesn't mean anything to anyone anymore so she takes Yuzu somewhere else. Miki tells Yuzu all -- she saw her homeroom teacher physically abusing a student and told him that she saw it so now her homeroom teacher and everybody else ostricized her and she became depressed. Changed her hair and such.. made her parents mad.. so she's convinced she's of no worth to anyone anymore and is about ready to jump off a building, but Kippei convinces her otherwise. So Miki goes home and makes up and everybody's happy again... Hopefully...
You know.. Miki, you really should have told someone about what you saw. But anyways.. looks like Miki is back again next time. I'd really like this little Miki arc to wrap up then...

Some more movement in the Kippei-Kokoro relationship now. They're at least somewhat back together, it seems, not completely avoiding each other. Kippei talks to Kokoro about what to do about Shouta's mom and what she said about him as well (I'm guessing that's what they talked about since it wasn't shown). Kippei goes to talk to Shouta's mom, but it doesn't seem like she really wants to change things. When she goes home Shouta comes out to greet her, causing her to drop the groceries she had. And you can guess what follows... *SLAP* and Shouta falls down the stairs...
But Shouta isn't too badly hurt, thank goodness. Shouta's mom finally realizes what she's done wrong and wants to change her ways, and his father wants to do things better as well... But that means moving away. Shouta goes over the Yuzu's house one last time to play with her again and tells her that he's moving away... poor Yuzu. She loved him. Her first love... awwwwwwwwwww ;)
It would've been nice if Shouta stayed with Yuzu. Would've been a good addition to the cast. But, since he's gone I guess we're back to the usual. Hopefully we'll get some more Kippei-Kokoro stuff next time. Checking the schedule on Animax's site, it looks like we only have a few episodes left as only 20 are listed.

Well, that turned out as expected. Those bruises that Shouta had weren't from accidents or anything like that... they're from his mother. She's everything a mother shouldn't be.. concerned only about herself and how others see her and then blaming all that goes wrong on Shouta.. and the physical abuse follows.
It's time for Parents' Day at Yuzu's preschool so Kippei (who was told to skip school, actually) and Onee-sama go to watch Yuzu dance :) Shouta's class is doing some origami but he's kinda goofing off and his mother isn't too pleased about it. So afterwards she has some words for him.. "Don't embarass me!", "Why can't you act like the other kids?!" and such... and right as Yuzu walks out of the bathroom she sees Shouta's mom hit him.. and immediately Yuzu breaks out crying, bringing everyone else out. And Shouta's mom goes on to say some awful things to Yuzu (much like the stalker girl from earlier). The teacher obviously can't let Shouta go back with his mom after this..
I suppose it's natural that Shouta and Yuzu get along so well, since they come from rough situations at home. I don't believe Yuzu's mom has abused her like Shouta's mom, though, at least that's the way it seems now. We'll see if Shouta's mom changes her ways anytime soon..

Looks like Kippei's not a playa anymore. He won't "play" with Natsu anymore, and tells her straight that he likes Kokoro. Poor girl... As for Kokoro, she seems to be having a somewhat hard time being separated from Kippei, even though she decided to do that for Yuzu's sake. Kippei seems to be the same, too, wondering when he'll finally be able to be back with Kokoro..
Meanwhile... Yuzuyu's found a new friend. Shouta (Shou-chan, she calls him) from the Sakura class gives her a band-aid when she falls and scrapes her arm. Ain't he sweet? ;) Later on when recess ends he teaches Yuzu how to make rainbows using the water fountain and they end up getting soaked playing. However, not all is good for Shouta, it seems. His mother doesn't come for him until very late in the day.... Shouta had a bruise that he said he got when he fell, but hmmmm... suppose we'll learn more about that later.

Yuzu's mom finally shows up and we hear from her.. She's been looking in at the kindergarten Yuzu's at all day and the teachers had been getting suspicious so they sent Kippei to take a look. Kippei realizes that she's Yuzu's mother and asks her why she doesn't take care of Yuzu.. Her husband died and it seems like she did something bad to Yuzu once and now she's scared that she can't take care of her now. But, someday, when she's ready she'll come back.. She asks Kippei to not tell anyone, not even Yuzu, that she's been there. However, Kippei runs with Yuzu to the train tracks when he picks her up and they see Yuzu's mom on the train (in super-duper dramatic slow mo)...
Yuzu doesn't really say anything about it, though. It must be tough to finally see her mother after so long and not be able to talk to her or anything.. It'll be hard on Kippei when the time finally comes for Yuzu to be back with her mom. You can really see how much he cares for her. We'll see..
