Camelot, along with her apprentice, Lulu, go to Fine and Rain's room to wake them up and find them already up and begging to be taught after their failure last time. Camelot's got some of the best teachers lined up to teach Fine and Rain how to be better princesses, and while Fine and Rain try hard... well, mostly just play around... they end up screwing up and sending all of their teachers to a makeshift infirmary (^^;;)
After that mess, Camelot takes them up to see Omendo in the castle observatory to study. Omendo and Camelot seem to have been friends for a long time as they've given each other nicknames -- Came-chan and Omecchi ;) Omendo explains what each of the seven kingdoms on the Mysterious Planet does -- the Sun Kingdom shines down on the other kingdoms, the Flame Kingdom creates warmth, the Water Drop Kingdom makes clouds, the Windmill Kingdom makes the wind which moves the clouds, which then bring rain to the Seed Kingdom, making the plants there grow, the Moon Kingdom brings night, and the Jewel Kingdom makes jewels to bring elegance to people's lives. But Fine and Rain weren't listening, instead, they mess around with buttons and Fine ends up pulling a switch to turn on an anti-gravity device.. which then turns off sending everyone back to the floor in a pile. Meanwhile, Eclipse is sneaking around the palace...

Camelot's fired up as she sends Fine and Rain off to the next Princess Party in the Jewel Kingdom. She gives them a chest with the recipe that will make them "Best Sweets Princess" for sure. After getting on the Sun Kingdom's balloon, Fine and Rain look and see what it is... it's a recipe for お汁粉, sweet red bean soup, Camelot-style. No way that's gonna win, so Fine and Rain start thinking of other things they could make... forgetting to pilot the balloon and crashing as usual.
A bit beat up, Fine and Rain go greet the king and queen of the Jewel Kingdom. The king (who should sound familiar to those of y'all who watched AIR. Yup, it's Yukito) seems like a nice guy -- easy to see Prince Bright takes after him -- but the queen.... I think we know where Altessa got her attitude from now (^^;;)
The Futago Hime official website has wallpapers which change every month, and since the old ones aren't kept on there I'm going to stick them here for y'all :) All are 1024 x 768 resolution.

Fine and Rain wake up a stubborn Pumo as soon as the sun rises. After giving him a tickling they're off to Doll's Town in the Jewel Kingdom to have fun. And have fun they do, riding all the rides there.. well, except for Pumo, who is abused as usual. This time, being used for juggling and as a baby toy. However, someone's following Fine and Rain, a doll, Puppette, who was told by Eclipse to go play with them. She eventually does get them to follow her (after getting a face full of Fine's ice cream) to where her friends are. On the way, she mentions it was just like that person said.. who? No, not the person with the hat and such.. she had heard rumors. That Fine and Rain are "the most un-princess-like princesses".. Fine and Rain cut her off before she can finish.
They go on to where Puppette's friends are, a pretty run-down placed that's walled, almost a "doll slum" you could say. Her friends are very happy to see Fine and Rain have come there to play with them, so they get to a game of "kick the can" right away. Pumo's found himself a friend, too, a very beautiful lady doll ;) The evening finally comes, and Fine and Rain are worn out from playing so much, so...

へとへとへとへと へっと へとと!
hetohetohetoheto hetto hetoto!
...and so they do the "heto-heto" ("all worn out") dance. I've uploaded it so you can watch the dance this time :) Don't ask me why they're doing a complicated dance like that when they're supposed to be all worn out (^^;;)

Fine and Rain head to the Jewel Kingdom after hearing that their mother, Elza, learned how to make the wonderful jewelry with the Decor Maker from a person there. Shortly after arriving in the usual bumpy fashion, they end up in the middle of a dispute between two jewelers there, Mrs. Butterfly and a man named Celius, both vying for the business of the women gathered there. The royal coach comes, carrying Prince Bright and the big haired, tsundere, brother-con, Princess Altessa :P She's there to do some shopping for jewelry, so Mrs. Butterfly and Celius both pitch their wares. But Altessa doesn't feel like shopping after a bit, so she'll be back later. Of course, Rain is all ga-ga over Bright-sama, but Fine has her mind on finding something to eat, more than jewelry or anything ;) That's interrupted by Mrs. Butterfly and Celius exchanging some harsh words.. they agree to a jewelry battle that afternoon -- whoever loses has to close their store and take a hike.
An old woman recognizes Fine and Rain as the princesses of the Sun Kingdom (no "the most un-princess-like princesses in the history of the Mysterious Planet" this time?), and takes them to the house where Celius works. Celius' father is the one who taught Elza how to make jewelry. Fine and Rain offer to help Celius out in his battle with Mrs. Butterfly, so Celius accepts their offer and gets to work designing his next masterpiece. He puts them to work setting stones in a... tiara? Whatever it is, it's heavy when he puts it on Fine and it falls over, shattering. But he's got more like it so no worries. He goes off to his room to take a bit of a break.

Fine and Rain finally make their way back to the castle and ask Moon Maria if they can stay in the Moon Kingdom for a bit longer. She okays it and...

ありありがとう ありがとう~!
ariarigatou arigatou~
...and so Fine and Rain do the "arigatou" ("thank you") dance. But Moon Maria pretty much ignores them while she asks the chancellor about Prince Shade's whereabouts. He's still not back. Moon Maria thinks he might be at the Spring of Stars. Spring of Stars? It's a big star-shaped hole in the middle of the desert where you can see the space outside the Mysterious Planet. And, supposedly, find out various things about the future.. including love prospects. Fine and Rain want to visit, so they'll head there tomorrow. Meanwhile, back at the Sun Kingdom, Pumo recharges the Sunny Luce while keeping Camelot from suspecting anything..

Fine and Rain look out their window with stuff on their minds.. Rain's thinking about Prince Bright, of course, but Fine.. she's got her mind on Eclipse. No, not in that way as Rain as thinks, but only because he's quite a suspicious guy and she wants to find out what exactly he's up to. They overhear a conversation outside their room about a supposedly very accurate fortune teller in the Moon Kingdom, so Fine and Rain head off there via "Telepumotion" to go visit.
And they arrive in the Moon Kingdom (Find out more about the Moon Kingdom here!), in the middle of a desert with an aurora overhead, landing in the usual rough manner. A transport from the Moon Kingdom castle arrives and takes them to see the queen of the Moon Kingdom, Moon Maria, who's wearing an appropriate hat, along with Princess Milky. Prince Shade is out for some reason or another... Moon Maria knew they were coming since it was foretold that morning that visitors from far away would be coming when the aurora glimmers in the east. Something's wrong with Moon Maria.. Milky tries to tell Fine and Rain what's going on, but they don't seem to understand her "babu"'s and such.. well, actually Fine can understand. Not a surprise since they're both gluttons, Pumo says ;) Anyways, since the aurora showed up Moon Maria's been having nightmares. Fine and Rain want to help out, of course.

Fine and Rain head out on the Sun Kingdom's airship to the Flame Kingdom, where the 2nd Princess Party is being held, before Camelot can catch them. They're dressed up nicely for the occasion. Fine is concerned more about eating yummy food than anything, as usual, and Rain goes off into her own little world again, fantasizing about Prince Bright, as usual. They make a very un-princess-like crash landing in front of the castle, where Leonne and Prince Bright check on them. Rain's more than happy to hold Prince Bright's hand as he helps her up. Altessa is not pleased ;)
And so the 2nd Princess Party begins and King Wohl is fired up (sorry) as usual, sending a flame wall up behind Fine and Rain, making them...

新しいダンスキタ―――!!
びっくりびっくりしました!びっくりびっくりしました!
A new dance!
bikkuri bikkuri shimashita! bikkuri bikkuri shimashita!
And so they dance the "bikkuri" (to be surprised and/or frightened) dance, much to Pumo's dislike :) The theme for this Princess Party is "Best Decor Princess", with the best dressed princess winning. Princess Leonne comes out first (kawaii~ as usual, though in the same dress she always wears), with Rain saying she looks pretty and Fine saying she looks yummy.. huh? Fine's attention was turned to a waiter carrying a cake, so she goes and asks for a slice. But the little princess of the Moon Kingdom, Milky, has an appetite much more than her size would indicate. Her and Fine seem to be natural rivals ;) Rain has to drag Fine away from the food to go meet the other princesses.

No Leonne-chan this week, but still quite fun and enjoyable as usual, leaving me niya-niya (with a big grin) as usual :)
Fine and Rain receive the "Decor Maker" -- just as the name says, it can be used to make accessories good enough for a princess (and all the girls watching the show... I'm sensing a product promotion) -- from their parents. They excitedly hurry back to their room where they think about what they'll make with it... Rain wants to make something as blue as the sky, but more importantly something that'll get Prince Bright to notice her, of course. And he'll ask to dance with her, and... Rain does her best Prince Bright impression of what he'll say to her. She's got quite an imagination :) Fine doesn't really care about getting boys with it.. she wants something like the sun, big and shiny. Camelot brought them a pouch of the things they need to make stuff with the Decor Maker.. acorns? That can't be right, so Fine and Rain head out to search for something more suitable... Camelot follows behind to keep an eye on things...
And so Fine and Rain begin their search, asking a couple of Nyamals -- those cat creatures -- to help, but one's too busy sleeping (they love to sleep) and the other's busy with stuff, so.. but then they spot one carrying some shiny things that might just work for them, so they follow her. Camelot tries to follow, but loses them and ends up kinda stuck... Fine and Rain end up following the white mage Nyamal to the place where she seems to work, kind of the National Weather Service for the Fushigiboshi, you could say -- which they haven't heard of before, so Pumo explains things. Various kinds of data about climate are collected by the sensor there, then sent to the castle to be analyzed and.. Fine and Rain are too busy laughing at Pumo's drawing of a Nyamal to be listening it seems ;)
Forgot to mention this earlier, but you can go to the Futago Hime website to learn more about the Flame Kingdom and its inhabitants :)
Found this scan from a magazine on a Japanese blog. Has all the princesses, and an explanation of the "Princess Levels" on there as well ;)

リオーネちゃんの再登場キタ---!!
Leonne-chan's back!
Had to go an episode without seeing Princess Leonne-chan in Futago Hime, but she's back again this time :)
After once again avoiding Camelot's (who seems to have a hip problem) lessons Fine and Rain return to the Flame Kingdom by telepumotion ;) There they finally go the castle like they were supposed to do in the first place and meet the king and queen, and Leonne-chan's brother, Prince Tio, whose voice is instantly recognizable...
ハイジキタ---!!
It's Haiji!!
Prince Tio is voiced by none other than Yamazaki Vanilla, who voiced Haiji in Tsukuyomi ;) Both Tio and King Wohl are pretty fired up (sorry, I had to say it), but Leonne-chan seems to have her mind on other things, looking outside at a mountain nearby with smoke coming out the top...
