Only a week late, but who's counting? ;)
After a visit to an ailing Yoshitaka in the hospital, Izumi gets enough courage to accept Takami's challenge with Mitsuki and Yoshitaka's mansion on the line, with Mitsuki deciding what exactly the challenge is (...and Seiichirou judging). Izumi takes the win by finding the most valuable thing among the many safes of Yoshitaka's that Takami was going to bury -- a nice, pretty wedding dress. Even Seiichirou admits defeat to Yoshitaka's skillz ;) But Takami won't give up, taking Mitsuki away -- but Izumi, along with Anna and Pochi manage to win in the end.
So the house is Yoshitaka's once again thanks to Izumi. Yoshitaka says he'll give it to Izumi, but she won't accept. But he's Yoshitaka, a pervert and stupid and her master. Her master? Yup, that's what she said. Yoshitaka hands her a form and she signs it without thinking.... uh-oh. Seems like she's been had (^^;;) Everything was Yoshitaka's doing so that he could have her back in his clutches, and since her mother approved it there's nothing she can do about it. Then she breaks another expensive vase...
So things end just as they began. Knew Yoshitaka couldn't be such a good guy. So Yoshitaka will be Yoshitaka, and Mitsuki will be the usual Mitsuki, etc., etc. ;)
Overall, He Is My Master was an entertaining diversion with a cast of fun characters. That's about all there is to say about it since it didn't set out to be anything other than a show about a kid in the springtime of youth who inherited his parents' fortune and and lives by himself and, taking advantage of the fact that the world's eyes don't reach him, surrounds himself with innocent girls whom he makes serve him in a huge mansion, creating a world of his own interests as his desires lead him. That's all ;)

Izumi's made enough money as an idol to pay off her debt to Yoshitaka and be free of him. However, Anna doesn't seem too happy... The next day, Anna is definitely up to something since she's saying she has her eyes set on Yoshitaka instead of Izumi. Best way to see if that's the case? One of Mitsuki's contests, of course. Ends up that of course Anna never had any intention of going out with Yoshitaka -- she just didn't want Izumi to leave.
Walking back from school, they fun into the guy running the talent studio that Izumi works for, Seiichirou. Izumi becoming an idol was all his plan so she could be free of that awful Yoshitaka and his perversions and come to work for him instead. Izumi's ready to pack up and go, but first... Mitsuki's got another contest to see who is best fit to be their master. It's the Otaku Quiz! And for some reason... Seiichirou seems to be rather knowledgable about things.. he wins the quiz portion... he wins the figure making contest.. he wins the cosplay costume making contest... He seems to be a lot like Yoshitaka. But he can't get along too well with Pochi due to a traumatic experience he had during his childhood, though. No problem, he's got a present for Pochi -- many figures of maid Izumi. Why does he have that? Uh-oh... his cover's been blown. Seiichirou is every bit as perverted as Yoshitaka.. and btw, he likes dressing up as a girl, too..
But despite that, Mitsuki decides to go with Seiichirou and Izumi follows along, leaving Anna and Yoshitaka behind. Izumi and Mitsuki move into Seiichirou's place (cue the Mitsuki service scene here), but Izumi doesn't seem too happy...
So they threw the people who had read the manga a curveball there with that last development, having Izumi and Mitsuki go with Seiichirou (they don't in the manga). But I'm sure it's another one of Mitsuki's ingenious plans so it should work out well... hopefully. Since we've entered original territory I don't know what's coming up so it should be interesting to see how things wrap up here. Seems like Karin-chan will be coming back next time :)

While Yoshitaka, Anna, and Mitsuki are out Izumi thinks she's going to have a nice day off to rest. However... her and Mitsuki's little sister, Karin (5 years old according to the manga), comes over to play since her father's in the hospital and her mother's busy taking care of him. So Karin and Izumi have fun, with Karin riding Pochi around the house (she loves gators) -- was Pochi watching some kind of mahou shoujo show there when Izumi walked in? Yup, he's an otaku :) -- and even Izumi dressing Karin up in one of Yoshitaka's maid outfits.
However, the others come home earlier than Izumi expected which causes a problem. Yoshitaka's "strike zone" knows no bounds so Izumi doesn't want Karin to get close to him.. but she's gone. After making a deal with Anna to get her to help find Karin, and running around, and kicking Yoshitaka away from the loli maid angel of his wildest fantasies things finally calm down. Karin produces the contract from the idol company she found in Izumi's room and gives it to her, telling her she should become an idol. Izumi, filled with confidence from Karin, finally decides to do it -- not just becoming any idol, but a maid idol. After Dad comes from the hospital to get back Karin from Yoshitaka's paws (though it seems Dad enjoys Karin's maid outfit as well...), they go home... and Anna finally gets to sleep with Izumi ;)
That agent from the idol agency informs his boss that Izumi agreed to work for them. Seems the boss has a grudge against Yoshitaka for some reason...
And if he's who I think he is (those who've read volume 3 of the manga know who I'm talking about) then Izumi might wish she hadn't become an idol. Once again, this time was mix of original developments and things straight from the manga, working pretty well, though some things from the manga I would've liked to see were left out -- most of Yoshitaka's dialogue with Karin, and Karin mistaking Yoshitaka for a good guy since he likes gators (though he's just putting on a show, of course). Though Karin didn't end up in a maid outfit in the manga, so... ;) I was as surprised as Izumi that she herself dressed Karin in that outfit. I thought for sure it'd be Yoshitaka's doing.
Next time... "Umi, umi, umi, umi, umi!", as Sakura-chan would say, as the group goes to the beach. Should be fun :) See how/if they tie in this whole idol thing into the story.

Pochi's gotten big.. really big, so Mitsuki and the group come up with ways to get him to lose weight. Plan number one would be getting him to chase after Izumi, of course. Not working.. Number two is getting him to eat Anna's cooking.. doesn't work. Eventually, Yoshitaka and Pochi make up.. If Pochi's not there then Izumi and the others wouldn't be there... well, not really, since as long as Izumi owes Yoshitaka money she's his.

After some divine inspiration from the authors of the HiMM manga, Yoshitaka makes some yukatas for Mitsuki, Izumi, and Anna, and it's off to a festival. With the usual activities, though most of the time it's Anna and Yoshitaka trying to get the best view of Izumi they can get while she's doing stuff. After Mitsuki rocks the crowd with her performance, she disappears. Yoshitaka has an idea of where she might have gone... seems that right near here is the grave where Yoshitaka's parents are buried. When I say grave, I mean pyramid. Talk about filthy rich...
Mitsuki apparently went along with the ghost of Yoshitaka's father since it seemed like it'd be fun. Mitsuki.. not a good idea to go off with weird old guys you don't know (^^;) Like father, like son, they say, and it works here: Yoshitaka's father is the same kind of lecherous guy Yoshitaka is and he wants Izumi. He's heard that rumor about Yoshitaka. You know, the one that there's this kid whose parents died and (ry. So... yup, time for a little contest, this time a classic 肝試し. Whoever wins gets Izumi. It seems Yoshitaka's father will have his way, but Yoshitaka's mother comes in to straighten him out, and they both go back to the other world.
Entertaining antics from the crew as usual. Nothing much to say beyond that. Izumi, as usual, being the only serious character in the group, is the most picked on. Must be tough ;)
btw, There was a change in the OP due to an incident that was in the news that I mentioned last week (the first linked item there). I assume they'll be removing any more instances of things like that from the rest of the show given that, and tread a bit more carefully.

The title this time:
「親の遺産を受け継いで一人暮らしをしている思春期真っ只中の少年が世間の眼が届かないのをいいことに広大な屋敷にいたいけな少女を囲って欲望の赴くままに自分の趣味の世界を作って奉仕させているという噂」
"Oya no isan wo uketsuide hitorigurashi wo shite iru shishunki mattadanaka no shounen ga seken no me ga todokanai no wo ii koto ni koudai na yashiki ni itaike na shoujo wo kakotte yokubou no omomuku mama ni jibun no shumi no sekai wo tsukutte houshi sasete iru to iu uwasa"
"There's a rumor that there's this kid in the springtime of youth who inherited his parents' inheritance and lives by himself and, taking advantage of the fact that the world's eyes don't reach him, surrounds himself with innocent girls whom he makes serve him in a huge mansion, creating a world of his own interests as his desires lead him"
Got it? ;)
Izumi and Mitsuki's parents make an unannounced visit to Yoshitaka's mansion. Dad and Yoshitaka don't get along too well, though they seem to be pretty much the same kind of person (Dad "loves his daughters like he does his wife"), but Mom and Yoshitaka seem to get along. Mitsuki really takes after her mom ;) With Dad wanting to take Mitsuki and Izumi home, and Mitsuki wanting to stay with Pochi there's only one way to resolve this problem...
yup, another contest pitting Dad against Yoshitaka (and Anna, too). This time, it's "catch Pochi and Izumi".. Dad brings out pictures of Mitsuki and Izumi when they were little to lure Pochi, Anna brings out one of Izumi's bras, Yoshitaka counters with some Izumi videos. Yoshitaka also offers to build Pochi his own place with female gators and maids ;) In the end, Mom and Mitsuki end up helping Yoshitaka win, so Izumi and Mitsuki stay at Yoshitaka's and Mom and Dad head home. Yoshitaka builds Pochi his own room with the latest gear as promised, but Pochi isn't quite satisfied with the blow-up pink alligator and Izumi and Mitski talking maid dolls. He's got his standards ;)
This was supposed to take place right after Izumi and Mitsuki started working at Yoshitaka's, but it worked fine here as well. The addition of Anna to the mix certainly made things a bit more lively. Izumi and Mitsuki's parents are a bit odd, aren't they? Izumi and Mitsuki's little sister, Karin, who shows up in volume 3 of the manga (which I just read a couple of days ago. Needless to say, Karin's definitely in Yoshitaka's boundless "strike zone"), was also briefly mentioned. Anyways, funny stuff as usual :) Next time, we meet Yoshitaka's dead parents.

Anna moves in and gives Izumi a nice wake up kiss.. but Mitsuki's been taken prisoner by her bodyguard unit after they take over the house, so Yoshitaka, Izumi, and Anna try to take the house and her back. But... it's another of Mitsuki's little games, a "survival game", to help Izumi and Yoshitaka get to like each other a bit better. Well.. not really. But Anna definitely likes Izumi ;)
Nothing to say here, 'cept that it was hilarious as usual. And the next episode has the longest title ever (maybe... School Rumble 26's might have been longer).

Yoshitaka's next evil plan... have Izumi and Mitsuki go to school with him in those cute school uniforms. Things get a bit complicated for Izumi as she doesn't want anyone at school to know that she's working as Yoshitaka's maid, so she has to avoid discussion of everything. Seems Yoshitaka's not too popular around there... But Mitsuki is, very much so, getting her own bodyguard unit ;) A girl in Izumi's class, Anna, seems to be interested in Yoshitaka, and she thinks that Izumi is his girlfriend... it's a perfect time for one of Mitsuki's contests.
And so it's Izumi vs. Anna to see who will be Yoshitaka's girlfriend. After the Iron Chef, nursing, and Pochi catching matches we've got a winner: Anna. But she didn't really want to go out with Yoshitaka or anything... in fact, she's so happy that Izumi cares for her that.. yeah, she's that kind of girl ;)
Nothing much to say here besides that it was enjoyable :) Mitsuki's contests are always fun and Anna... well, Anna is Anna. I'm not one who particularly has a thing for that kind of relationship in what I watch, but hey, she is cute ;)
btw, no He Is My Master next week. The next episode will be May 5.

Izumi and Mitsuki end up going back to the mansion and Yoshitaka since they have no where else to go.. of course, Yoshitaka has the extra-short skirt maid outfits (with garter belts) prepared for them after they take a bath -- during which he tried to get a peek, but the carefully and methodically placed obstructions hindered Yoshitaka's view.
Needless to say, Izumi ain't going to have any of it, especially this calling Yoshitaka ご主人様, but Mitsuki has no problems with it at all. She even likes the maid outfit. But Izumi's got to pay the bill for everything she broke the other day, somehow...
Opening: "Truth" by Okui Masami: They sure didn't wait to start the service. Poor Izumi.. ;) For those that have to know, the yuri girl who was looking lecherously at Izumi is Anna, and y'all will meet her soon enough.. Anyways.. nice song.. and for some reason I've always liked the thing where they have the camera(?) fly by each character and stuff ;)
Ending: 「愛情のカタマリ」 "Aijou no Katamari" by Izumi, Mitsuki, and Anna: Sung by the three maids, with cute static backgrounds drawn by Tsubaki Asu, one of the authors of the manga.

Izumi (CV: Asano Masami) and Mitsuki (CV: Shimizu Ai) have decided to leave home and fend for themselves without relying on anyone. The only problem is that they can't find work or a place to sleep, so they look for somewhere.. and as the rain falls they pass by a gigantic mansion. And posted near the gate: "Urgent! Taking applications for live-in maid". Izumi's not too good at housework, but Mitsuki excitedly says it'll work out somehow. So they enter the gate....
And in a river Mitsuki sees some fish and takes a look. She slips and almost falls in, but Izumi pulls her back up.. then falls in herself, getting soaked. At the door, Izumi starts taking off her soaked clothes.. then the door opens and a guy looks out to see quite a sight ;) Izumi proceeds to call him a pervert and throws a tanuki statue at him.. Ouch... Izumi and the guy exchange some words, but Mitsuki breaks it up by mentioning that they saw the post about hiring a maid, and he lets them in.
That guy's living all by himself in the big mansion. His parents died in an auto accident and left him all alone with quite a bit of money. He's looking for live-in maids to have some people around the house so he won't be lonely. Izumi apologizes for earlier and introduces herself (14 years old, btw), along with little sister Mitsuki (13). The guy is Nakabayashi Yoshitaka, and he takes them to the bath so they can get warmed up a bit from being outside in the rain.
It's a pretty nice big bath as could be expected, and Mitsuki's pretty excited (she's usually rather genki). Much service. Expertly placed obstructions keep us from seeing things we aren't supposed to see ;) And after the bath... they're dressed in maid uniforms, much to Izumi's dislike, and head off to meet Yoshitaka in the parlor.
