The Ichigo Mashimaro Prologue DVD was released today in advance of the anime starting next month. One of the things on it is a 4-minute short featuring Nobue (Hitomi Nabatame), Chika (Saeko Chiba), Matsuri (Ayako Kawasumi), Ana (Mamiko Noto), and Miu (Fumiko Orikasa). Basically... they're on their way to Earth for the debut of Ichigo Mashimaro, and it was going just fine until someone showed up. Miu reports that they've got a little problem -- running out of oxygen. I could see how Nobue'd fix it coming a mile away -- throw Miu out ;) (For those not familiar with the manga, Miu is a troublemaker, always causing problems for Nobue and the others) But Miu has her revenge since she took all the food with her.

If this is an indication of how the TV series will be I should be satisfied. Character designs look fine and plenty kawaii~, seiyuu are great, no issues with anything, really. Looking forward to watching it beginning July 14 on TBS and July 28 on BS-i :)
