Airi, along with Yuuna and Mamoru are supposedly going to study (...is studying really going to help them?), but Airi ends up looking through a photo album of Yuuna in her younger days. kawaisu!

Of course, this being a harem show, the other girls end up coming to give Mamoru some homemade food. Hotaru and Yamame especially don't seem to be getting along very well at all... After seeing that photo album, the discussion turns to what Mamoru and Yuuna were like when they were younger...

*start flashback*

Yuuna was quite a bit cuter in her younger days... I think it's her eyes, definitely, they look normal ;) And apparently she was born a banana lover.

 
While walking home in the rain Mamoru is attacked by a band of ninjas. Of course, he makes short work of them with all of the ninja items at his disposal... where does he keep all of that stuff? (^^;;)

Airi announces that there's a new girl transferring into the class. btw, she's a good tsundere this episode as usual ;)

..I don't even want to imagine what it would be like with that many Yuunas (^^;;) Reminds me of this.

 
The transfer student, Hotaru Kumogakure, introduces herself to the class... and then at lunch promptly asks Mamoru to go out with her (^^;;)

 
Airi's a good tsundere once again this time :) For some reason she's entered Yuuna into an idol contest... of course, this being a harem show the other girls enter it as well.

Tsubaki's audition doesn't go that well... after mistakenly adding a stroke to 侍 samurai to make it 待 (wait), she just about does seppuku (^^;;)

 
That's supposed to be a disguise, Yamame? Her fitting into the bag trick was cute, though :)

It's Yuuna's turn! The head judge asks her to sing a song...

Yuuna, Miharu (from DC), and Miharu (from Girls Bravo) should get together and sing this as a group... there are 16 verses to the song, btw. I don't believe I need to say anything else (^^;;)... had this stupid song in my head all weekend long... anyways, somehow Yuuna manages to get into the next round of auditions.

 
That "somehow" turns out to be this. Did you really think Yuuna would understand what a bed falling from the ceiling means, man? ;)

Nicely done as usual, Mamoru.. Yuuna does actually end up being chosen as the idol and promoted by a guy named Zunk. We all know characters like Yuuna are popular these days :) But since Yuuna doesn't want to be separated from Mamoru (awwww) she quits.

I don't get it either. And Yuuna's definitely not normal, yeah. And I definitely don't want to hear all 16 verses of her banana song. I can't say I like it, but it's definitely got staying power (^^;;)

Anyways, another ridiculously stupid enjoyable ep of Kage Kara Mamoru :) Wonder when the last ninja girl will show up?

Going to do this entry a bit differently than normal, just hitting the points that I have something to say about ;)

...of course Mamoru's mom has to wake him up by using one of her ninja techniques (^^;;)

 
While Yuuna goes to the bathroom, Mamoru and Airi have a little talk. Yup, Airi's a tsundere.

 
This girl walks by Mamoru, losing her frog wallet. Mamoru returns it to her, but she thinks he's just trying to pick up girls and such. She read that the city's really dangerous, so she knows.

...and I thought Nanami@Lamune was an idiot. Yuuna takes the cake this time, forgetting to go to the bathroom since she kept giving up her place in line to people who couldn't hold it anymore (^^;;)

 
Of course the girl Mamoru met in the park had to be a relative of his, and he had to walk in on her while she was taking a bath. She's Yamame Hattori@Ai Shimizu, a childhood friend of Mamoru. Your typical kawaii osananajimi/imouto ("Onii-chan!") type, to categorize her in moe terms ;) However, she thinks Mamoru is a loser now, not being anything like she remembers him.
