I thought we were just going to get a different arrangement of Kiiroi Bakansu, but a completely new song and new animation to go with it? The staff are putting some effort into it :) Completely different style than the previous song and not quite as trippy, but still catchy in its own right. Not to mention this:

So I like it :) This will be the OP for this month and next, with it changing again in November.

And now random comments on this episode:

• Jimi's... no... what's her name?... Kurumi's hair got longer over the summer but nobody seemed to notice...


• Poor Number 6-san, having her chick die on her so soon...


• Ichijou-san... who the hell is she? A robot? Definitely not human. And that "friend" she made for Mesousa... scary (^^;;;)


• 癒し系魔法少女ベホイミちゃん復活！ Thanks to the twins, Magical Girl Behoimi-chan is back! Definitely like magical girl Behoimi better than meganekko Behoimi. Not a meganekko person :P


• So Media and Behoimi were buddies.. and explosive experts as well. That was some dangerous-sounding dialogue there while they were covered up (^^;;)


• Poor Mesousa... guy can't get a break, having another run in with that cat god, then getting stuck with the bomb after Becky somehow managed to run off to the bathroom without setting it off. And nobody cared that he was stuck with it.


• Was that Becky from the future? Or maybe Becky's grandkid or something?


• Becky was cute this time as usual. Nice that she's always wearing something different every ep :)


• Too much stuff going on on the blackboard for me to keep up. I did catch "The rain in Spain falls on the plains" :)

Rebecca gives her class, mainly Miyako, a big scare by announcing that they're going to have a test the next day.

And the same goes for Miyuki Igarashi's class, where we're introduced to Yuzuko Kuruse, Yuma Kashiwagi, Yuna Kashiwagi (yet more twins? (^^;), and Shu Momose (yes, he's Kurumi's brother).

While Miyako tries her best to study, everybody else pretty much goofs off as usual... soon everybody decides to get together and "study", but it turns out to be more like a party. With yukatas... and Rebecca in an omega kawaii outfit ;) So nobody studies after all... Ichijou-san seems to think that glasses are the key to doing well on tests (^^;;). Well, that's okay since I doubt they had the test since it was like this.

AAAAAHHHH!

And there goes yet another parody of something I didn't get. Though I did notice the Dragonball parody ;) The blackboard was active as usual this time, though I didn't get much of anything on it. Anyways, fun as usual, and with some service thrown in as well this time. Maho! ;)

Her name's Watanuki... Hibiki Watanuki. And as part of the student council's information gathering squad, she's set on learning more about Rebecca, James Bond-style.. That odd creature next to her is a character by mangaka Yasuji Tanioka, one of the masters of gag manga.

Over in Saotome's class we're introduced to Suzune Shiratori and Otome Akiyama. And unlike Rebecca's class, the "mob characters" in Saotome's class are all the same girl... And check the drawing on the blackboard -- it's the neko mimi mode Shinkansen! ;)

Back in Class 1-C everybody's waiting for a late Rebecca to show up, especially Himeko. Rebecca finally shows up wearing a hat. Ichijou-san takes it off and... Rebecca's gotten an アホ毛 ahoge just like Himeko's -- of course, Himeko is overjoyed and jumps all over omega kawaii Rebecca. Rebecca grabs a hold of Himeko's ahoge and pulls it out.. and thar she blows. Seems Himeko just isn't the same without her ahoge -- doesn't quite have the maho she used to have :P Interesting stuff going on on the blackboard as usual during all of this, like this one: 「批判する人は多いが実行する人は少ない」 ("There are many who criticize, but few who take action").

Himeko's ahoge is put away for now, but it vanishes when Rebecca comes back for it. So what's a genius to do? Make a new one, of course. With a sample of hair from Himeko, Rebecca creates a new ahoge and uses Mesousa, already the loser in Mesousa vs. The Vending Machine earlier, as a test subject. They don't work (^^;;) Happens that it was actually a hair from Ichijou-san... go figure.

And randomly thrown in, we're introduced to Itou-san and Zoola.

The next day Himeko is back to her omega mahoness as usual, maybe even more maho than before. But whatever happened to Hibiki? A bone falls down from behind the blackboard.... Must've been that stuff Ichijou-san gave her (^^;;) And after the Itou-san credits... Jijii's scary...

So, as usual, random insanity. I don't really get it -- though I did... well, I tried to make an effort to get more of the references this time -- but's it fun. Becky omega kawaii! Guess we won't be seeing any more of Hibiki, though (^^;;)

Opening: 「黄色いバカンス」 (kiiroi bakansu) by Class 1-C - As could be expected from the people who brought us Tsukuyomi's "Neko Mimi Mode". This time, a blast from the past -- the 60s/70s, to be more exact. They must be smoking some damn good stuff to be able to come up with something like this. Trippy, man~ ;)

A bunch of weirdos in Jijii's class just like Rebecca's class ;)

Paniponi Dash! is a bit too crazy for me to really write a detailed summary that would make a whole lot of sense so I'll just summarize the basics of what went on and pick out the rest ;) Translating the stats as best I can, though some are rather hard to read so I'll have to leave those out.

Our main character is a kawaii chibikko genius who graduated from MIT, Rebecca Miyamoto. She's also got a rabbit, Mesousa, that follows her around. Some aliens seem to have an interest in Rebecca for some reason. And she's going to be teaching class 1-C at her new school. The previous teacher was apparently fired for doing *beeeeeeeeeeeeep*, according to old Jijii-sensei.
